Food Lion is an American grocery store chain that runs over 1000 supermarkets in 10 states of Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. It was created by Ralph Ketner, Wilson Smith, and Brown Ketner. The company’s previous name was Food Town which was later changed with Food Lion in 1983 to expand the business. In 1974 the company was obtained by Delhaize Group and the merger was completed in 2016. By 1990 the company was expanded to almost all major cities of USA. The current CEO of the company is Meg Hum.
