Company headquarters are located in 144 U.S. cities and two in Canada as of January 2022. David Corriveau and James "Buster" Corley opened the first Dave & Buster's in Dallas in 1982. "Buster's" is a bar operated by Corley in Little Rock, Arkansas, next to "Cash McCool's," a saloon and game parlor owned by Corriveau. After opening the company, the two worked together as co-CEOs at Dave & Buster's. A COVID-19 pandemic forced Dave & Buster to temporarily close all locations on March 20, 2020. Since May 2020, the majority of locations have reopened.
