I was instructed by an all state employee to make manual payments for my policy for the last 2 months (total due: $319). I was instructed to do so because I wanted to change the bank account I used. In March (as instructed) I paid roughly $158 (monthly bill) which left me with a balance of $161 (due in April). Because it was a manual payment me and my wife called on 4/15 to May our last payment which we were instructed was $116. Not sure why it wasn’t $161 but we didn’t question it.

I bought car and house ins. through allstate 04-2018,decided not to go paperless, was told that would be about $9 per vehicle extra, (2 vehicles). I pay 6 months in full for the car ins. On my next bill I had an increase of 90 some dollars.
when I called them and asked them why they told me that it was $15 a month because I did not go paperless, even though I get one bill every 6 months, they are charging me $15 every month. In December I was selling my vehicle and purchasing a new one. Once sold, I contacted my agent and told them I sold the car. I wasn't aware you should suspend your insurance coverage since I was intending on getting a different vehicle soon so we canceled my coverage instead.
Later I was told they should have suspended it to save me from losing my policy, extra saving and not to mention a down payment. I wasn't able to get coverage cheaper with Allstate due to this so I went with Travelers. I wasn't too happy about that but you live and you learn.
