To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to share a concern based on my long-standing experience working alongside Target teams in the field.
For the past six years, I have worked as a part-time merchandiser as a second job, primarily servicing Target stores across Western Washington. Over that time, I have met and worked with what is likely thousands of Target employees. For the vast majority of my experience, Target team members and leadership have been professional, respectful, and genuinely pleasant to work with.
Unfortunately, over the past couple of months, my experience at the West Seattle location (#0637) has changed significantly due to a new manager named Angelica. Her behavior has been consistently unpleasant, rude, and at times outright mean—to the point that I now feel anxious about entering the store when she is working. I have personally witnessed her berating employees and speaking very rudely to customers as well.
This evening, I spoke with a Target employee to confirm her name, and he shared that when he finds out he is scheduled to work the same weekend shift as her, he will call out sick. He also indicated that multiple employees and others have already raised complaints with corporate, yet she remains in her role.
I felt compelled to share this feedback because this behavior is completely out of character with the Target culture I have known and respected for years. Angelica’s conduct does not reflect Target’s values and creates a negative environment for employees, vendors, and guests alike.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering the impact this situation has on those who work in and visit this store.
Sincerely,
