To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to file a formal and urgent complaint regarding a deeply unacceptable and unsafe experience I had at your Taco Bell location on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, at approximately 9:40 PM. I expect this matter to be thoroughly investigated, addressed with urgency, and not dismissed as a routine customer issue; the situation that occurred posed a legitimate safety hazard, demonstrated a complete disregard for customer service standards, and reflected extremely poor judgment on the part of the employee involved.
The employee in question was a woman with glasses working the drive-through window at the time of my visit. After taking my order, she instructed me to pull forward without presenting any clear explanation as to why doing so was necessary. While I complied with her directive in good faith, what followed was entirely unreasonable and completely unacceptable.
After I pulled forward, I watched as five separate cars were served ahead of me, each receiving their food and being sent on their way while I continued waiting. At no point did the employee communicate with me, check on my order, or show any urgency or acknowledgment that I had already been waiting far longer than any customer should. Instead, it appeared as though I had simply been forgotten or intentionally ignored, despite being visible and already having complied with her instruction to move forward.
The situation escalated when I realized that my food was not going to be brought out to me, despite having been told to pull forward and wait. I eventually had to illegally reverse back toward the drive-thru window—maneuvering in a tight lane with cars behind me and active traffic nearby—because the employee and her manager apparently decided that running food out to a waiting customer was “not allowed.” I was told, in essence, that the employee could instruct me to move into an unsafe and inconvenient position, but could not take the basic, minimal action required to complete the service she had initiated.
Let me be absolutely clear: being forced to reverse in a drive-thru lane is dangerous, not only to me but to other drivers who have no reason to expect a car to be backing up against traffic flow. The only reason I was placed in that hazardous situation was because the drive-thru employee chose to give an instruction she could not or would not follow through on, causing a needless delay and creating an unsafe environment. The fact that her manager confirmed she “can’t run the food out” but still allowed her to instruct customers to pull forward is an unacceptable failure of leadership and training.
This demonstrates a blatant lack of situational awareness, poor internal communication, and an overall disregard for both customer safety and the basic responsibilities of drive-thru operations. No customer should ever be forced to choose between waiting indefinitely with no communication or reversing illegally—yet that is exactly the position I was placed in due to the decisions of your staff.
The employee’s dismissive approach, combined with the lack of accountability from management, reflects poorly on this location and raises serious concerns about training, professionalism, and operational competency. The drive-thru is often the primary point of contact customers have with your business, and the experience I had fell egregiously below the standard expected from any reputable establishment—let alone one operating under a national brand.
I am requesting the following:
1. A full review of this incident, including the conduct of the employee with glasses who was working the drive-thru around 9:40 PM.
2. Clarification of store policy regarding having customers pull forward and whether employees are properly trained on how to manage such situations safely.
3. Corrective action for the staff involved, particularly if this is not the first complaint of this nature.
4. A written response confirming that the issue has been addressed and outlining the steps being taken to ensure no other customer experiences a similar situation.
I am not seeking anything unreasonable—only accountability, professionalism, and assurance that your staff will not continue placing customers in unsafe circumstances due to preventable mismanagement. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously, as the incident was not merely an inconvenience; it was a situation that could have resulted in an accident due to the poor judgment displayed by your employees.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt and professional response.
Sincerely,
Brandon Eanes
