To whom it concerns. 2 days ago I clicked on my Facebook page and it told me to login. I thought that was unusual. When I did login with my usual details it told me that my account was blocked because my account doesn't follow the Community Standards on account integrity and therefore my account was blocked. I was absolutely shocked. When I tried to get back in again it gave me a name of someone in India or Pakistan. Again I was blocked and locked out. I have been a member of Facebook with over 25 years and never had any violations or anything against me. I am totally disgusted with this and have been trying several angles to contact Meta to no avail. I am seriously thinking about taking legal action against Meta as this has been very distressing for me. I am disabled and live alone and the only contact I have with my family is through Facebook. All my pictures etc from years past have been stored on my Facebook account. There is a data breach somewhere and I just hope it doesn't follow up to my bank accounts. I hold Meta totally responsible for my situation and security at this point. I am now completely locked out of Facebook,Instagram and X. Someone should contact me back ASAP or I will be going to a data protection officer to take my case further. I have had a brain operation a few months back also and I can find myself getting headaches now again because of this terrible distressing situation. After being on several websites trying to get any further information on my dilemma,I have discovered at least 300,000 people have the same issues. That could only be the tip of the iceberg. I think this situation will have to be fully investigated and it will have to be made public as alot of people haven't probably been able to contact anyone in Meta and are at a complete loss to getting any satisfaction. But I'm going to start working on this with a solicitor now and I will also get the Citizens advice office involved aswell as the Data protection officer. Regards Ted Cotter.
