Only self checkouts available

Only self checkouts available. No cashiers. I asked if a cashier was available and was told self only. I do not use self checkout. I made the time to go the store to buy products. I should not have to scan, bag and chase someone when I have a gift card or very often wrong price shows on the scanner, not recognizing discounts. If I am doing the work of a target employee, I should get the employee discount and any other perks that an employee receives. I came to shop, not work for my purchase. This store is located in Smithfield, RI. My previous visit there had one physical cashier with 30 people in line. I asked an associate if there was anymore help and was told, self checkout. No courtesy, so I left my cart and walked out. Store has the rudest upfront help
