Myself and partner booked accomodation via our bookings.com acc when we arrived at the property the property manager refused to check us in giving the reason that they did not accept digital copies of bank cards. The card in question was the exact same card used at the time of the booking and the one the full payment was taken from. This was not stated anywhere on any of the terms and conditions of booking, the property policies or even the property website. It is stated that the card has to be in the persons name of the booking and the card that was used to pay for it! Due to this being a partner offer bookings.com have advised that they have actioned a request for refund but still after 24hours are unable to make contact with the partner and are bound by contract to contact the property in question. Also I they will not give a response to question raised why is our booking still have a status of confirmed rather than canceled which would be the case if the property manager had canceled?? Further research also suggests that this partner that bookings.com took our payment and gave to is more than likely a scam company. Due to this we are now in surfers paradise with no alternative accomodation as we have no available funds we used our last to pay the booking for $973 even though bookings.com are aware we are now on the street and slept in the park last night are still refusing to help secure accomodation
