I returned the Black and Decker portable A/C unit with heat. Model number BPP10HWTB on June 21st 2024 for refund. I purchased this unit July 29th 2023. I let the unit sit for 2 days to settle the Freon, tried it on August 1st 2023, it did not seem to be putting out cold air. I decided to wait until the next day to recheck it as I wasn't feeling well. I am 81 years old and have several health problems. Anyway I went into the hospital for 3 weeks the next day for an emergency problem. Did not even need the A/C the rest of the season and not able to mess with it anyway. This year, June of 2024 I turned it on and just as before , it does not blow cold air or hot air, just a $400.00 fan in a pretty case. Our temperature here in Maine was going to and did reach over 100 degrees. I returned the A/C unit for a refund so I could go buy an A/C for this heat wave. I had two emails from the Zendesk? asking for product details and responded to those. I have not heard a word from B&D since 6/27/2024 when they sent me a return label. That was 6 days just to get a return label! I sent the unit, confirmed it was received VIA the tracking number 3 days later. I have called the customer servive number several times, got hung up on while waiting 4 times, asked for callbacks that never came. I have emailed at least 7 or 8 times with no response at all! I begged for a refund so I could go get an A/C. I do not want a replacement as I have said, I need a refund immediately. I have over 5000.00 worth of Black and Decker tools and equipment and have loved them all but this one is literally killing me. I am a retired 81 year old Marine that has many serious medical problems. PLEASE SEND ME A REFUND AND work on your customer service communications. The stress alone for the last 7 weeks should have killed me already. And the 2 emails I did get asking for info both are signed "Warmest regards". Very sad for someone with no A/C in 100 degree weather. Joseph Willey
