I came to Target to purchase an item using my own money

I came to Target to purchase an item using my own money. Unfortunately, the customer service representative processed the return incorrectly and issued a gift card, even though I had originally paid in cash. At no point was I informed that I would be receiving a gift card instead of a cash refund. When I spoke with the manager, I was told that the transaction could not be reversed because the gift card had already been issued. As a result, I lost over an hour of my time and was unable to receive my $60 refund in cash. What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of communication and empathy throughout the process. Leslie never apologized for the mistake or acknowledged the inconvenience it caused. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had. I’m not going to target anymore.
