Dear Boscov’s Customer Service / Corporate Management,
I am writing to formally report a very upsetting experience that I had while shopping at your Greece store located in Rochester, NY 14626 on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026.
I visited the fragrance department intending to purchase a perfume when I was approached by an employee named Karen, who, according to store staff, represented Juicy Couture and was not directly employed by Boscov’s. From the moment she approached me, her tone, demeanor, and attitude were extremely rude and unprofessional. She abruptly asked me what I wanted to test in a manner that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The interaction left me feeling profiled and unfairly judged. As a Latina customer, I genuinely felt as though I was being treated suspiciously, as if I could potentially steal something, rather than being treated as a valued customer looking to make a purchase. No customer should ever be made to feel this way while shopping.
I requested to speak with a manager regarding the situation, but I was informed that her manager was not present because she worked for Juicy Couture and not directly for Boscov’s. Regardless of employment status, representatives working inside your stores reflect your company’s image and customer experience.
This experience completely ruined what should have been a pleasant Mother’s Day shopping trip. I believe this situation deserves immediate attention, and I hope appropriate action is taken to ensure no other customer is treated in this manner.
I would appreciate a response regarding this complaint and any steps that will be taken to address the issue.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
Amy Hernandez
