10-4 policy with Target employees! Target is considering forcing all employees to 'smile and make contact' whenever they are within 10 feet of a customer. That could get weird fast. I can understand if this is meant to thwart shoplifting. But please PLEASE don't force this on your staff. We KNOW.. yes CUSTOMERS KNOW when someone is being forced to do something a bit unnatural. And it makes ME feel UNCOMFORTABLE to being part of that forced approach. Please, just let me do my shopping and I will ask a staffer if I need assistance.
