I've got a complaint with Checkers Hyper in Gateway when we checking for our Lotto Winning Tickets, if you win they don't even show you the ticket how much you won they just give you the money and you don't know if the money they give you is exactly what you won.

For example lets say you won R1050 they will give you R50 and the teller keeps the R1000 for themselves, how do I know that I should get R1050 if they don't even show us the ticket, Before they use to give you the ticket and sign for the amount of money that you receiving but now they don't.

I speak from the experience as this happened to me twice and I am not happy about it as they can scam us big time. I will appreciate if you can look at this and rectify. Kind regards. Thembi

A few weeks ago i bought ice cream and had to return it as it was just a block of ice, i then had to return pre-packed OMG kiddies meals as they were off, my grandson eats them all the time and said they were "kakka" so i returned that to, and yesterday bought sugar ice cream cones and they had little weevils in , i still need to return that.

I was very upset as i had already served them to my 3 grand children and had to quickly take it away from them on my shocking discovery in the 4th cone. This occurred in 2 different Checkers stores in Pietermaritzburg.

Christmas decorations are all over checkers store but no mention of Diwali or even wishing your Hindu customers a happy Diwali. This is really disappointing especially that south africa is supposed to be a rainbow nation. Please be more sensitive in the future about this. Thankyou

Customer service of both Cashier (Nora) and Manager (Valencia) was very poor . Went to the manager to complain about cashier and she did not seem interested in what I had to say . The cashier spoke to me as if I was not a customer and all of this happended in front of other customers .

I am a regular customer at Checkers and go there almost everyday wjether it is just for a bread or my monthly shopping . Previous incident I bought a cooldrink that was expired two months ago and got offered a R250 voucher , informed the manager that I was pregnant but nobody even asked for my contact details or checked up on me .

I was at Checkers in Kuruman to buy some goods but when I arrive at the Teller , I didn't have a Xtrasavings cards as my wife she is the one who always carries it. I visited Checkers on North Dale Mabry Highway & Northdale Blvd. Tampa ,Fl. Two times within a two week period wanting simple hot dogs , both times they didn’t have any !! This is just not acceptable & it’s not like I went when they opened up or late at night I went during the dinner hour.

I bought conee buns today at Checkers Flamwood in Klerksdorp. I paid R17,94 for 6. The size is the same as a coctail bun. I understand the price increase due to various economical factors. But why should the size of the buns be half the size smaller.

Anytime we buy from the bakery section, the cakes are always stale and hard. This has happened twice already.

My mother had gone to checkers as she usually does almost every day to gather a few things for home. Accompanying her was my grandfather for a trip to the checkers store in Windermere centre. She was robbed blindly inside the checkers store in the isle whilst looking at a product on the shelf. Her phone , purse , keys and things had been taken from her trolley. My complaint is that checkers security loves to watch the customers who steal but not the people who are stealing from the customers.

It is pathetic how there are so many cameras in the store and so many people on the floor (disguised security) yet this man just walked out of the store with everything in his bare hands and he even kept looking back to see if he was followed and as I’ve mentioned , nothing was done.

This is not the 1st 2nd or 3rd time that I buy food that is off or rotten from Checkers Riverwalk. Last night we purchased chicken sosaties and when I cooked it I realized that the smell was off, upon closer inspection I soon realized that it was rotten, and no longer edable.

I mean how many times must 1 person go through such experiences, the service at the butchery is always an unpleasant experience, the person stands there and pretends not to see you, and only when called you get some assistance, the manager is always of great assistance but some of the people working there really needs to learn how to do their jobs, I am done buying food that is off and rotten.

Sunday 17 July 2022 around 5pm i bought a french loaf sandwich which was rotten with molds all over it. This was a shocker to me its either this guys are repackaging their products when there have expired because i dont see how a freshly prepared sandwich would be rotten yet properly packaged.

In such a healthy hazardous case not even the manager came to my attention to solve this problem. I was just told to fill in my details in the refund book and sign thats it just brushed off just like that and its business as usual.

On several occasions we want to buy take away tea at Checkers Woodlands as well as Checkers Preller at Bloemfontein but they does'nt has stock or does 'nt sell it!! Checkers stock milk, tea and water. What an example of poor management!

I've been a client of Checkers for decades. Checkers at Sitari are currently one of the worst in terms of customer services. Certain col drinks, ie Coke Zero are 95% not in the fridge. When asked for, they fetch it from the store rooms!!!

Bags to put loose fruit in, has been scaled down to only one roll!! Yesterday there was none. Finding staff on the floor, are often a mission. Those results into the manager having to call them on the intercom often and it is really irritating to us as customers.

It's over lunchtime and of the 12 tills, open two were open. People buying groceries for the whole month in front of the lines. People with just milk and bread all waiting in long queues. After paying, get to the manager's office and there's 3 people all with cashier's badges standing having fat conversations, laughing. What the hell?

Then the manager underestimates my intelligence by telling me the other cashier's are all on lunch? THEY WERE STANDING IN HER OFFICE. And it's quite simple maths... around lunchtime which is a busy time you do not have two cashier's working with thes rest on lunch It's quite simple.

I bought the Hosebrand 9 pack toilet paper (4 packets) and the quality is way below standard. All the rolls are full of holes and 80% powder. It’s actually un useable. In the past I normally bought 2 x 18 packs and had no complaint.

If I could give a -0 I would. If I'm not waiting for my change for more than 10 minutes then its that the teller didn't hear me correctly when I mentioned how much water I wanted to buy. I have been to this Checkers a zillion times because it's the closest but the amount of times that I have been serviced properly I can count on my hands.

They never hav change in their tills, they speak over you when you ask them something (blatant rudeness). Someone should get all their teller stuff in a meeting because their service is disgusting. A couple of times when I asked the teller how long it will take to get my change she replied not to me but the security guard that was working at the doors.

No respect whatsoever and no professional work ethic.

My complain is about a lady name Inno(short & light in completion) @ checkers hyper @ Rustenburg Mall,she must work on her interpersonal skills because @ around 17:00 on Friday she was busy telling customers which tellers they must go to & I went into the wrong teller & she made a joke & her colleagues were laughing whilst she was mumbling which made me very crossed & I think this is not how you train your staff to behave towards customers,can you please make sure this never happens again.
