July 15, 2025 I went to aspen dental (9405 N Newport Hwy Spokane, Wa. (509)818-3657) with an abscess tooth, the dentist looked at it and it was determined that it needed to be extracted that day. I went over the paperwork with the manager (Viv) and paid the amount $1779.20, I was told (by Viv) the work cannot be completed unless this amount is paid in full. I paid the amount on 7/15/2025, at 1 pm I went in to get my procedure completed. I was there until after 4:30 pm. I asked the assistant 3 times if my medication was sent over to my pharmacy, because it was a tooth extraction and surgery implant. Arriving at the pharmacy there was nothing there for me, it was too late to contact Aspen for the prescriptions, it was a long painful night. I had to call the next morning and doing so the dr sent my prescriptions. July 18, 2025 I had to go back into aspen dental, because my temporary cap fell off, after the assistant put my cap on the dr (dentist) was examining my tooth and told me that the wrong glue was used on the temporary cap, permanent glue was used instead of temporary glue. The temporary cap is on my tooth. July 23, 2025 I had a scheduled appointment to put on a permanent cap. I was called at 2:30 pm by Viv from Aspen dental and she told me that I still owe money for dental work. I asked her if that was because I paid what she told me to pay last week, Viv's answer was "insurance had not paid yet, so you owe $2000.00. I told her no that is not correct, no insurance company pays in 5 working days a claim being submitted. Viv told me that I cannot come in and have my permanent cap put on unless I pay more money. I paid for the entire dental procedures that were completed on July 15, 2025. She (Viv told me the amount owed was 0 and by the time we were finished talking I now owed $2000.00). She kept arguing with me that I owe money because the insurance has not paid yet. Again, I told her "Insurance companies do not pay that quickly she should know that!). Viv told me that the insurance is pending the amount, I said yes because you just submitted the claim, it is not for me to pay the insurance part, they need to let the insurance process this and then get paid. Viv said no you have to cancel your appointment until you pay more money. I responded "NO"... I paid my portion. Viv also tried telling me the money was to cover the implant, again all the work has been completed (except putting on my permanent cap and taking the stitches out of my mouth). VIV (FINANCIAL MANAGER) DENIED ME TREATMENT FOR DENTAL AND SURGICAL WORK THAT THEY PERFORMED ON 7/15/2025. I went to the dental office and wanted to speak with the dentist (dr) I was denied that right and was told I had to speak with Viv, the financial manager, I said I did that already, and she would not help me, one of the girls in the front office (skinny dishwater brown hair, sitting at the second cubical ) said I looked at your account and yes you owe the money, I said, why are you looking at that and I owe nothing more. SHE JUST BROKE THE HIPPA LAW! She says you can wait to talk to her for a minute. I waited for over 10 minutes; I also called the aspen dental line to speak with the regional manager (4 PM 7/23/2025) was not given a reference number or anything from them. I was told that the regional manager would call me back by 7/30/2025. I told them I was being denied services, that they have already started and I paid for them. I talked with them while I was waiting. I decided I am no longer going to wait because they were going to make me sit there for a while. There was no one in the waiting room except me, no one when I arrived either.
