I bought some hair gel at a Dollar General near my home and did it realize it cost as much as it did so I planned to return the item. Well, I had to go yo work so on my way home I stopped at another Dollar General to return the item. I had the receipt but had put it in my back pocket and it was torn in a small place. Because the receipt was torn they would not return the item because it would not scan wit the scanner. I bought the item this morning and was returning it the same evening. You see I needed to return the item so I would have gas money to get home on. The cashier said she could not manually type the scan numbers in. She never asked another employee for help to make the scanner work. Told me to take it back to store that I bought it at. Well, that store is about 40 miles away on my way home. I do it have the gas to get to that store and return the item and even have gas money to get home, now. I am a 60 yr old woman not in the best of health! I still work but of all days our computer at work did not distribute our time cards therefore I did not get paid today! The item I bought was about $8.00 tax in all which would have been enough gas money for me to get home on. But since she will not return the item I have no money for gas and there is no way in hell I can walk 40 miles to get home! I have none to help me so I guess I will be sleeping in my car at this dollar general until I get paid! This is bullshit because I shop at Dollar Generals all the time! But will never be back at another one! What happened to people caring and trying to help? What happened to CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT? $8.00 is not a lot of money but right now sitting in this parking lot tired as hell just wanting to eat and go home $8.00 is ta lottery win RIGHT NOW!!!
