Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unfulfilled Vehicle Reservation – Confirmation #1680626707

Dear Enterprise Customer Service,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent rental experience involving reservation confirmation number 1680626707, booked on Friday, August 2, 2025, for pickup at your Hurstbourne Lane, Louisville location.

At 2:19 PM on the 2nd, I received an email confirming my reservation for a Luxury vehicle.

However, when I arrived at the branch the following day, I was informed that the reserved vehicle was not available—and, more troubling, never was.

The representative assisting me admitted that he had already informed the Corporate Rental Department the previous day that no such vehicle was on-site.

Yet, no one from Enterprise reached out to…

ON Sunday 12/10 I rented a truck.

I told the representative that I would return the truck in 2 hours but he did not advise me that the store would be closed early.

I was not given instructions how to drop the key.

Two hours later I return the truck and the store was closed.

I did not see any drop box for the kay.

I called enterprise but they were not able to help.

I had no choice, leaving the keys in the glove box and lock the truck.

The agent called me next day and told me I would loose my $300 deposit for leaving the key inside the truck.

I requested a waiver due that I was not informed about the store closing early or giving instructions how to drop the key.

I made a reservation 5 days in advance of my travel time, as you can see it was confirmed.

Just image my disappointment when I arrived to be told we do not have your requested vehicle or nothing similar to offer you.

I know that times are trying these days but come on the reservation was made with ample time to have vehicles to rent.

I asked about what was available and was offered a full-size pickup truck which I declined as that would have doubled the amount I would have paid for fuel.

The reason for the reservation was that I had plans as many others who were there to visit with family and now my plans had been banished as I am on vacation this week and cannot travel because of whatever reason other than your branch not being prepared.

Went to pick up reservation 1616766223 at the Dothan, AL location that we booked 10 days in advance to find out we did not have a truck ready and may be 3 to 4 hours before would be ready.

People working there were very rude.

Had 3 or four trucks there just employees too sorry to get them ready to pick up.

This is the second time this has happened to us at this same location.

I rent a car regular but you can bet I will never rent from your company again.

I had to cancel a trip because of this so I am not happy at all.

The service at this location is awful and needs to be handled or your reputation as a company will be ruined.

Rating does not allow me to give a 0 but this service is that or less.

I think you ought to come pick this car up and give me a refund.

I'll probably consider auto rental someplace else next time.

I specifically requested a non smelly car.

I had rented a car from enterprise in McDonough Georgia , and that office is always terrific!

My complaint is based on a conversation with Jordan Barnett from the damage recovery unit.

I was rear ended in my enterprise vehicle on 12/20/19 and approximately a week later I received a call saying that Allstate had accepted 100% responsibility on behalf of their insured.

I paid the $500 deductible that my insurance, Liberty Mutual, specified and was told that after review by the damage recovery unit that this $500 would be refunded.

After not hearing anything from that unit for a few weeks I contacted them and was told that the $500 would be forthcoming shortly.

Problem with Enterprise Car Rental: Enterprise claims of customer service is vastly overrated.

There is none!

During a family move of items from Maysville, N.

C. to Danville, IN. a Dodge minivan was rented in Jacksonville, N.

C. to be returned to the Avon, IN. office.

In route the vehicle refused to start after fueling in Durham N.

C.

Roadside assistance was called, and it was determined that the vehicle had to be towed to the Raleigh-Durham Airport service center.

My son called ahead and was told by an Enterprise representative that a vehicle would be available to us.

Once there we were told that there was not a vehicle to replace the disabled one and we were told that to continue our trip we had to drive back, in our own vehicle, to Jacksonville, N.

I reserved a car on line and received conformation number 2033581519.

I ubered to enterprise location to pick up car and was told they are all sold out and I could wait in lobby for 4 to 6 hours for a possibility of incoming car.

I cannot understand why I received a conformation number instead of simply being informed that their are no cars available at this time.

I wasted 90min and 2 Uber plus had to cancel afternoon appointments.

I am also notifying the Better Business Bureau.

A professional company should never lie and misrepresent a conformation number and then be totally disrespectful to the customers time and schedule.

I had made reservation for a SUV on June 25, 2019 for a Small SUV Confirmation number was 1944724965 at the Brunswick Ga 4445 Altama Ave location when I arrived at location for pickup on 7/12/2019.

The gentlemen greeted me ask for my Id and method of payment and made the point of sale and then told me, we do not have your rental due to a previous rental that had rented the vehicle brought the car back with a boot on the car, I was very upset due to the fact that I received a call to confirm my pickup at 12:00 pm on Thursday 7/11/2019.

Instead of the company calling to explain this to me, I took a lunch break to receive my rental, but was told that they didn't have the car that I selected and the other cars that was there was reserved for other people, I wish the gentleman would have also…

Dear Representative:

I rented a car on June 19, 2019 and returned the vehicle on June 24, 2019 to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

I had initially made the reservation through Alamo, however, Alamo provided me an Enterprise rental vehicle.

Upon my return to the airport on June 24, 2019, I left a brand new Sage fly-rod in a metal 30 inch case in the backseat of the vehicle.

The case is 30 inches long, a tan color with a gold screw-on metal top.

Upon realizing that the rod had been left in the car, I returned to the rental car, which was still in the return area and the rod had been removed from the car.

On June 15, 2019, I went to one of your locations in Thomasville, NC, to pick up a minivan, according to my reservation (RA635VP1).

It happened that after driving for over 40 minutes from my home to pick the vehicle up; once there, the manager in training told me that there were not minivans (but nobody called me or sent me a message to let me know).

When I asked him for an alternative, he said that there was another vehicle, but with extra charges, otherwise, I could go to a farther city for a minivan; nevertheless, after waiting for over 20 minutes to reach the other agency via phone, resulted that they ran out of that kind of vehicle.

Finally, after near 1 hour there, and because I had to travel next day to Atlanta, I decided to pay the extra charge for the available vehicle.

I was backed into while getting gas in my work truck.

This lead me to having a rental truck provided me by the insurance of the gentleman who hit me.

My truck was fixed I turned the car back in and my 50 dollars was returned.

A week later an unauthorized charge was made against my bank account for tolls.

In the rental agreement I was never made aware of a charge back for tolls.

I did not sign or initial anywhere authorizing this charge.

Customer service tried to say I was contacted and didn't pay my tolls, but after I explained to them it has only been a week since I turned in the rental the story changed.

They could not show where I was contacted or informed of the charge but keep telling me I owed it.

Whether I owe the amount or not is not the point.

The availability of vehichles in the wilson nc branch is absolutley terrible.

They never have a car when i have needed one in time of need.

Corporate needs to address the issue and make changes.

I have no desire to waste my time with enterprise again.

Its a car rental company.

Its like having a hot dog stand and running out of hotdogs.

I rented a car on may 30, 2019, in the Uniontown center and i told them that i would return it the next day May 31, 2019, at a auto repair Mike's auto service which is in Masontown.

I told them that i would need it ONLY the one day, when i got to the shop, i called the rental center no one answered so i sent a text to the email that i received several notices from and reported that the car was at Mike's.

I had a positive experience until it came to the refund.

I expressed the day when I returned the car, the bank account had been closed and I would like to receive the refund in the mail, the manager on duty and customer representative agreed.

Two days later, I was asked by a customer service person, what did I think about my overall experience?

I told them it was positive, and I have used enterprise a lot in the past.

When I asked about the refund, I was told to hold on, and later told it was sent to your bank.

The customer service from the head manager Mike at the downtown loction in Milwaukee,Wisconsin was Beyond awful.

I never been treated so badly by a company only thing he didnt do is call me bad names.

I felt truly disrespected as a customer .

The assistant manger at that office tried to offer me 15.

00 off my retal which i felt was a true insult considering I had the car for a month and 1week.

An the cost for one day plus insurance was 55 day.

I will never rent from this company again.

My daughter was in a accident at the fault of the other driver, progressive insurance said they would take care of the damages and arrange for her to get a rental car with enterprise, she is 22 and has never rented a car before, the agent told her she would need to put down a 150.

00 deposit to take the car and she would be refunded the deposit on the return of the car, she returned the car yesterday and they charged her an additional 21.

When I questioned his motives he explained that he would not tent to some like me ( who is bi racial).

I had reserved a car to be picked up at the Albany Oregon location.

I was to pick the car up at 3pm Friday the 26th of April.

When I arrived at that location to pick up the car I had reserved I was greeted to by two employees sitting in their chairs not willing to get up and help me.

When I told them that I was here to pick up a car, finally one of the employees got up to check my reservation.

On March 9th 2019, I reserved a car rental for 3/14-15 returning on the 16th .

I scheduled a pick up for 9:00 am.

I received an email reminder on the 13th of march via email.

On march 14th, the day I was to be picked up and taken to the rental company on 103rd st.

I had the surprise to found out ..

If I used my car insurance or the RBC Visa insurance, there is a loss deductible charge by Enterprise of a $1000.

Such practice are mind to intimidate customer and have them paid for overcharge price of $29.

99 a day let's said 30 since penny have been remove for now a few years .

So I had to go back to Enterprise Kanata Ontario have a re-inspection of the car and paid for an extra 3 days of insurance for my rental when I have insurance with my Car Insurance and with My 2 Visa.

So your intimidation work, taking a chance to lose a $1000 was not worth the saving.
