A chain of restaurants specializing in Italian-American cuisine is known as Carrabba's Italian Grill (or simply Carrabba's). Bloomin' Brands owns and operates the company headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Johnny Carrabba III founded the chain with his uncle Damian Mandola on December 26, 1986. Their first restaurant was opened on Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas. Shortly, the intersection of Woodway and Voss Road was transformed into a second location. After the restaurant was enlarged, Damian's sister Rose Carrabba was honored with the name "Rosie Carrabba's." Johnny Carrabba still owns both original locations.
