ABC Financial

Thinking of making a move to ABC? DON'T! Their sales team is deceptive, incompetent and unaware of their own softwares capabilities. The software is outdated, slow and doesn't have the basic capabilities needed to run a successful gym. They've double charged and overcharged over 100 of our members. They've forced us to purchase their antiquated hardware at steep markup. We've lost over 100 members and spent 10s of thousands of dollars making the move to and now away from ABC. Worst business decision to date.

This company informed me that my gym membership would cancel, and it automatically renewed WITHOUT my authorization. They are refusing to refund my money that I DID NOT authorize them to take. I'm about to take some serious action here. This is theft. It's no longer about the money, it is now the principle.

Edge Fitness is the gym. I tried to cancel in June 2022 -- here is the email I received:

To whom this may concern I Wesley Syrie ii cancel my membership 3 months ago. 96 every month and I send a letter to ABC and they never canceled my membership they are still charging my credit card for the membership fee that is ridiculous.

I had a gym membership with Gold's Gym and I later moved 20 miles away. I stopped going to the gym for several months and finally called ABC Financial requesting to cancel my gym membership and stop membership fees from being debited from my bank account. Customer service informed me that ABC Financial could not accept my request to cancel my membership over the phone and that I would have to request to cancel my membership in writing and mail it to their corporate office. I sent a my written request to ABC Financial and they still continued to debit my account. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charges and block/stop ABC Financial from withdrawing monthly fees from my checking account.

We have been using ABC for our billing services for awhile. It's a decent point of sale system but their customer service sometimes takes awhile to contact. Last Friday I had an issue with a member who was past due on their account, although they had paid up to be recent.

ABC still showed them as due and they were certainly upset as you can imagine.

I purchase a Microwave Model WMH53520CB-0 on 2/21/14 after six months, it started to say on the screen Open and close the door. every time I would use it. On the last day of my warranty we had ABC Financial come to check it out, they put some new parts in the microwave, it work for a couple of months, but now it is doing it again.

Perhaps if we contacted their billing office directly it would help. Is there a recall on this?
