In Oct 2010 I stopped my non working broadband internet and bundled Dish Network services from Centurylink. I paid the final bill and they told me I would have to pay a 200.oo early termination fee. I refused and they started harassing me and turned over the account to a collection agency. I had been with them for over a year and a half so how was it an early termination. I talked to Centurylink several times and finally a supervisor (name withheld by me) told me they renewed my contract because when I called in November 2010 to cancel they gave me 5.00 off my bill if I would continue with improved services.

The services did not improve. They even charged me for home telephone services which I did not even have. I’m fed up with the collection threats and will gladly pay an attorney to start a Class Action Lawsuit for me and I know countless other victims. Does century link go door to door and sell direct tv installations? No! I never signed any contract with Centurylink. You may email me with your story. Centurylinks former name was Centurytel. The strangle hold monopoly is over. I paid Dish Network even though Centurylink should have paid them with my last payment. Centurylink is going DOWN. BRING IT ON. I changed from CL to Comcast and CL charged me a $1200 cancellation fee. I never had signed an agreement nor was aware of the fee. Now the collection company is harassing me. this is wrong and probably illegal. I hope an attorney takes up the case.

So CenturyLink, you decided to threaten me with a double my bill every ten days if I don’t pay the extortion money you requested. You CenturyLink were stupid enough to send a statement of “double your bill” to my address. CenturyLink… you have no idea of the can of worms you just opened. Robert Brunner

I just e-mailed Darcun1 to try and get involved in the suit against centurylink. Does anyone else know of any lawsuits? Or any other good ways to take them down?

I am so tired of dealing with this blatantly fraudulent company. I never get the same answer or quote twice. I refer back to a confirmation number and they tell me they don’t have that quote with that confirmation number. They tell me I can have internet only for $39.95 for a year contract and I say good because I do not have a land line and make no local or long distance calls. Next I get a bill for $150.00 and the next bill is $157.00. I call and they tell me that the $39.95 broadband price doesn’t exist. And there is no “recording” of that conversation or price under that confirmation number. I have been dealing with these crooks too long as they are the only company that runs internet to my neighborhood. Now they are scamming my brother-in-law as well.

I called CenturyLink last friday the 20th to only get internet for my house because I was supposed to start working from home the week before. I called CenturyLink today the 25th of June because they randomly cancelled my order without my permission and even after I already received and halfway installed my modem and all the cords that goes along with it. I live in a duplex with my roommate and my brother lived right next door at the time that he connected to CenturyLink. The customer service reps failed to put in the correct address for his account and after he cancelled his account they feed him $200+. Because of this fee that occurred NEXT DOOR, not even in the same household or something that has nothing to do with me, they cannot hook up my internet. I was very frustrated and asked to speak to a supervisor. I ended up explaining my situation to TWO DIFFERENT SUPERVISORS and they both literally said “I cannot help you.” WTH kind of customer service is that? The supervisors said that he and I quote “has enough reason to believe that the place we live in is a house and not a duplex”. So they are trying to tell me I live in a home? How do they know? Have they even seen what the place I live in looks like? Pretty weird huh. All in all, DO NOT go with CenturyLink or anything that has connections to them. I was a new customer who was actually excited to get internet and start working from home and at this point I have never been treated so disrepectfully and interupted so many times in my life than I have with them. Did I mention that the 2nd supervisor I talked to gave me all of the information confidential/nonconfidential about my brothers separate account next door. It’s like they are asking to get sued. There is more to the story but I tried to get the important facts across. Thanks!

Extortion, bait and switch, major account slamming! I’ve spoke with several elderly people this week that don’t have a computer, never asked for Internet and are stuck with Internet charges including prorated charges (not at the quoted price) and set up fees . All they wanted was a damn local phone! I’m sick to my stomach when I come home from work. I need to do something about this. All managers encourage thus dishonest behavior and even more than any of u had said. Take it from the inside…it’s theft! email me if u have any ideas?

It’s a shame that so many hard working people are intentionally being ripped off. I can’t budget because my incoming bills are all over the map…..276, 87, 130, and now 160….wtf…..and I’ve only been with them four months now. WHY all these emails and years of complaints and nothing has happened? I hope all involved in scamming the elderly, single parents, college students, etc…..will get their day in court. Your judgment is coming and I hope it destroys you.
