I have been buying money orders from Albertsons for about 3 years now, and I was always told that you need two forms of I.D. if your money orders are more then $3000.00, I have been told this many times including the day manager and the customer service clerk, so last night about 6 P.M., I go there to get two money orders, one for $2320.00 and one for $150.00, Their is a young guy with a mask on working the customer service desk, so I tell him what I wanted and he says ok, takes out a book and asks me for two forms of I.D., I say for what he says to buy money orders, I say you do not need two forms of I.D. only if they total over $3000.00, he says no it is like $2000.00, I told him I have been buying money orders here for over 3 years, he looks at me and says two forms of I.D., so I give him my Arizona drivers license and my bank debit card and a major credit card, he picks up my bank card and the credit card and hands them back to me and he says I asked you for two forms of I.DF., I said I gave you three, and he says these are not forms of I.D., then he says I need to see your passport, I asked him why he said that's the only other I.D. he will take, I asked him do you carry your passport everywhere you go, He says if you do not have it I can not help you, I pick up my money and do my shopping, as I am in the check out line, there is an older lady bagging stuff, then she walks over to the self service check out I ask the check out girl if that was a manager and she says yes, but the front manager not the store manager, so I walk up to her and as I am just about to talk this young guy that was in customer service runs up between me and her and says I already checked he is wrong, turns around and smirks at me and walks away, then I ask her when did the amount change for money orders, she says it didn't, I told her my story and she says well he said he checked it, and I said so for 3 years everybody including the store manager sold me money orders that they should not have, then I said can you check it, she said no he said he checked it, so, who is wrong retailers that sell Western Union money orders are required to get your info if your money orders total over $3000. so, the customer service guy does not know what he is talking about, or the day time managers do not know what they are talking about, and the manager for the front would not even check it.
