I own a 2023 XT5 Cadillac , during the winter storm my windshield cracked . I called my insurance company and Safelite was recommended because Country insurance has a contract with them for windshield repairs, They sent out a tech he was asked if he knew what he was doing because I have sensors in the wind shield and a camera on the rear view mirror. When the tech completed the install , he told me he test drove my vehicle , I never seen the vehicle move, had the same mileage on the vehicle when I parked for the evening. He left I went to my vehicle started it up and the camera was not working and the rearview mirror was very hot to the touch, My heads up display wasn't working along with other sensors, My hood has scratches on it. I called safelite and they sent the same tech out he started up the vehicle and stated that it is a factory problem and the vehicle needs to go to the dealer and he threw me my keys and said he did not know what else to do, and he left, What type of service is this, not the kind of thing that should not have happened. I paid 250 deductible on this windshield replacement. I contacted my insurance company and because of safelites warranty I am obligated to let them fix the problem, It seems almost ridiculous to have someone come out and install a windshield incorrectly and now take a advantage of a warranty, this is not right if the windshield would have been installed correctly i would have been good to go, now I must take off work to have the problem fixed at the shop when the tech was supposed to be certified, and knows how to calibrate and set sensors, but he did not and I am faced with loosing money , and time because of a tech that wasn't experienced . I am not happy about this at all and I need to be compensated , their will not be a good review for safelite,BBB needs to be notified, I want to be taken care of with respect and honesty and good workmanship. My service was awful.
