12/15/23 Contacted Safelight for windshield repair on my 2020 BMW 330-i. Instructed that the order may take a day or two to obtain the part.
12/16/23 Contacted Safelight for an update. Instructed that the part had not yet been located.
12/19/23 Received an email from Safelight setting appointment for 12/26/23 at 9:00 AM.
12/18/23 Contacted Safelight for confirmation and instructions for my appointment for the next day. Safelight instructed me that they at first could not find any such appointment as it had been removed. The agent scheduled a new appointment however the Freehold office changed the appointment to 12/26/2023 between 1:30-5:00
12/25/23 Received an email assigning a tech for my appointment on 12/26/23.
12/26/23 Received notification that my appointment had been cancelled as the windshield arrived broken. Offered an appointment on 12/27/23 if I could bring my car to their shop. Since the crack obstructs my vision I could not legally drive the car. Accepted an appointment at my home on 12/28/23 between 8-1:00
12/27/23 Received email assigning tech and confirming appointment.
12/28/23 Called Safelight as my appointment window had elapsed with no tech arrival. Agent had no knowledge of any cancellation so contacted Freehold office. The Freehold office informed me that once again the windshield arrived broken. They thought they called and left a message however no message was received.
12/28/23 Received an email confirmation of my appointment for 12/29/23 and informed during my telephone call that I would be the second appointment of the morning.
12/28/23 Received email assigning tech for install
12/29/23 Technician arrived at 10:10 AM and completed the work at 12:10 PM. Excellent work.
I was without the use of my car for 10 days due to the Freehold office cancellations and redundant excuses and lies. I believe I am entitled to compensation.
