My complaint is that every time i am in the store, there is a dog. Not once in a while, literally every single time. Today there were multiple dogs in the store during my visit and this is really frustrating to see being allowed where groceries are being sold. I asked the checkout clerk if the stores policy has changed, which I know it did not because there is a sticker on the front door saying “no dogs except service animals”. The clerk told me they do allow service animals to which I replied “we all know these are not service animals”. These are not service animals, but even if they were, the store has a right to ask two questions, which are “is the dog required because of disability” and “what is the service animal trained to do”. She (the clerk) said they choose not to enforce the policy because they do not want to offend customers. But now we are okay with offending other customers who have to put up with dogs mingling with food we are consuming. Not only is this absolutely disgusting, it is against city health code. I have filed a complaint with the city of Chicago as of today, as I am tired of seeing dogs inside the same place food is sold.
