Today is Nov. 21. On Nov. 18 I began to call ADT when the keypads showed "BAT" or low battery. I was told that day - briefly - that the batteries would BE MAILED TO ME FOR ME TO INSTALL IN 10 DAYS. REPEAT TEN DAYS..... Since Nov. 18 I have attempted to reach ADT Customer Support via CHAT, by phoning, and by being placed on hold for 48 MINUTES. Finally, today, at 3:57 pm - after being on hold from 3:00 PM for FIFTY SEVEN MINUTES - I reached a support person named Ibrahim who was great. He told me he would get an ADT Tech to come out to change the batteries, that ADT would not charge me $59 per 30 minute increment for their oh so precious time. As he was telling me this HE WAS DISCONNECTED. DISCONNECTED. AND NOT BY ME AND NOT BY HIM. ADT/EVERON, whatever they are now called, obviously decided NO THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DO THEIR JOB AND COME TO MY HOME TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES EVEN IF I WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR THE VISIT ! FOUR DAYS AND BACK TO SQUARE ONE. SO, I will file a complaint with the consumer agencies, including FairShake, and enter arbitration if necessary. Better to spend the money on an attorney and get this closed. I need reliable security not only for safety for me and my home, but for MEDICAL REASONS which is why I have ALSO PURCHASED key fobs through the years at $100 a pop to keep with me to summon an ambulance. I HAVE BEEN A CLIENT OF ADT FOR 35 YEARS, REPEAT YEARS. I HAVE LEFT FOUR SYSTEMS IN VARIOUS HOMES I HAVE OWNED IN TWO STATES THAT WERE THEN PURCHASED AND ADT HAD THREE NEW CLIENTS PLUS ME. That's gratitude for you...
