I recently loss my home on November 26, 2023. My insurance company deem my home a total loss from fire. Once I received my dwelling check from my insurance company, I sent it priority mail to M&T bank Loss Mitigation Department. They received the check. I was told by representative on Friday, February 2, 2024 that the check had been overnighted on this day. However, that was not the case on Monday that the check had not been mailed or overnighted and they didn’t know when it would mailed. Then she goes to tell me that it will mailed out on the Wednesday, February 7, 2024 by regular mail. This is poor communication on their part. I ask to speak to someone higher, but she said that they were busy. The representative kept telling me that she would someone to call. That’s a lie. They need to be held accountable for bad practices. Once I receive the rest of my insurance check, I never or will encourage anyone to do business with them. They have very poor leadership in the Loss Mitigation Department.
