I rented vehicle in St. Albert, Alberta location. My experience was not the best. Upon entering vehicle, oil change light came on. I informed attendant and was told not to worry about it. Throught my travels, beeping came on several times. I did not check while driving as not familiar with controls. When returning vehicle, I filled gas tank as per contract. Attendant did the check over vehicle, came back into store and whispered to other attendant, I knew discussion was about my rental and thought it to be very rude to do so in my presence. The issue apparently was that the gas guage showed not full. I informed them that I did fill up across the street and not sure why it shows as under full. Attendant came outside with me to see gas guage and again convinced that it was not full. I beg to differ. I handed him keys and suggested we drive across street to prove that I did fill it up. He drove vehicle there. Once there, the amount of gas came to one dollar and a few cents. I told attendant, the one dollar fill up is probably due to us driving/idling at red light, and again the few minutes we had to wait for an available pump. The weather in Alberta was extremely cold, so it makes sense that a bit of gas was used to re drive back to station. Turns out that the gas tank was full when I returned vehicle. Attendant remained quite, had nothing to say. Once back at store, he asked me to return keys. I did not have keys as he was doing driving. He insisted I did. He left keys in the vehicle. No applogies, no nothing! The whole experience left a vary bad taste in my mouth. The way I feel at the moment, I will never deal with Avis again and will not recommend it to my associates if asked. Experience was not worth the time or money. I would have gladly spend more money for better service.
