I have been trying to get my car towed for 2 days. Yesterday I waited for 5 hours. Even after multiple assurances by phone that the tow truck driver was on the way, he didn't show. He finally called and said that he would arrive in 20 minutes, but the garage where I was having the car towed was closing so I had to cancel. I have now been waiting an hour and a half for a tow truck and am being given the same run around. Even member services does not seem to be able to help other than to insist that the drive will call and will be here in 45 minutes - the same pat answer I have heard so many times that I no longer believe it. I had AAA for decades prior to this (had to cancel for a while due to financial circumstances but recently rejoined) and never had anything like this happen.
