I have used walgreens for over 20 years. I have recently moved from Ms to Tn. In this state a med I have been taking is a controlled substance. I take it at night to help with nerve pain and sleep. For 2 months I came up 1 short, no capsule for that last night. On the above date  I picked up my medicine and moved my car opened the bottle and counted, sure enough there was one missing. I went inside and asked for the pharmacist and asked her to count them. She came up with the same 1 short.  I explained what had been happening and she told me there was no way that could happen, that I had taken it. Then the manager came and they both belittled me and when I left the store I was crying. In5 days it is time to get my medicine filled. I woke up this morning at 4 am couldn't sleep dreading it. The manager said from now on I had to come in the store to pick my med up and SHE would count them. This was not said nicely, it was said as a punishment for something I didn't do but had the audacity to report. I have lived with chronic moderate to severe pain for many years, but no one has ever made me feel like that. There is no cvs in Millington, Tn . I talked to my doctor about it and I don't know how to handle it. I travel a good bit and need tobe able to get my meds for a number of reasons. What good would 1 pill do me, but someone who may be with holding others meds. I have seen not unsimilar stories in the news. For now, I am stuck. These people were so mean spirited. I am 71 years old, I am not a drug user for fun. I have had asimilar problem years ago but I was never treated with anything but respect.  Not in Millington.
