I would like to file a complaint for your Burger King store 3054 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907 - Store 5128. On Monday September 25, 2023, I went to make a drive through purchase at Burger King. I handed the woman clerk my debit card for payment. After leaving burger king I never used by debit card again. That was my last purchase. I was later alerted that someone was attempting to make a $356 purchase. Initially they attempted to use $1.00. Once the $1.00 payment went through, they then moved forward with the $356 attempt on my card. My bank found it to be suspicious, so they did not allow the payment to go through. I was told by my bank that someone tried to use my debit card number by manually entering the card number to make a purchase online. My belief is that the clerk who took my payment wrote my card number down or took a picture and attempted to use it. That was the only location I used my card at that day or the following day. I also just got my new debit card that week. I went back to the same Burger King store on Wednesday September 27, 2023, afternoon to speak with the manager, and she was extremely rude. She gave little to no assistance to help me resolve or solve the issue. I asked for corporate number and she told me they didn't have a corporate number. I am writing this complaint in hopes of hearing from Burger King. I want the clerk to be reprimanded for what she did. It not fair that I go to Burger King and have to worry about Fraud being committed against my debit or credit cards. I look forward to hearing to hear back from someone ASAP.
