The flight double booked my and my companions seats. Someone was already sitting in our seats but had the same number assigned. I even showed them the boarding pass on my phone, and their printed ticket had the same #. We showed this to the flight attendants, who got assistance from a lady/employee we saw at the gate. I did not catch her name but she had a red vest on, glasses and looked to be south Asian. She told us our seats were in row 20 as opposed to row 18, which is fine. But I wanted to make her aware that the seats had been double booked and tried to show here the boarding pass I had, multiple times to address the problem in the future, and she was dismissive and very rude! This was my first time flying Air Canada and from the double booked seats to the it left a horrible impression on myself and my companion!! I will be sure to avoid this airline in the future and advise others to do the same.! This was at around 2:25pm, at Gate D3 in Fort Lauderdale airport, flight 1025 to Toronto.
