Dear Alexandra Zagury, Managing Director for South & Southern Africa. Palazzo Towers West, Monte Casino, William Nicol Drive, Fourways, Johannesburg, South Africa 2086.

Bold 9700 completely white screen since upgrade of software. Since around the start of this week I have had a problem that started with my screen going white after powersave. After pressing a few buttons I discovered the mute button would allow me to get back to my home screen after it resumed.

This kept on happening then after a while my screen developed another problem where the pixels from a previous screen would show after I have pressed an option. Moving the mouse cleared the pixels, The problem got more and more irritating so I decided to upgrade my phone software by connecting to the computer. Instead of this solving the problem it has kept the screen permanently white in a state where I cannot even receive calls! Can anyone help me?

I was given the Bald 9700 as a gift from my Gran Mother in February 2012 which was still sealed in the box. She had been traveling all over the world prier to returning back to South Africa. We have gone through all her possessions and have not found the invoice or any paper work for the phone. My Gran Mother has passed away in the mean time and cant get any other information. I know there is a 2 year warranty on the phone.

I took the phone to BlackBerry Customer service in Midrand (Vodaworld) they told me that the phone needed to be replaced. When my phone was scanned in they told me that they now could do nothing for me and did not want to help me in any way at all. Whom could I contact in SA to have the blackberry 9700 fixed. I received the Phone as a gift with a Vodacom card in the phone.

The IMEI of the phone is 352479040804064, Please could someone contact Myself on the above number and inform me where I could have this phone seen to and sorted out.

Best Regards,
Trevor Terblanche

My experience with Rogers Telephone Service today in regards to my blackberry 9700. I upgraded to the most recent version of blackberry software a few days ago, since this update, my phone battery drains 3x faster than normal resulting in me charging my phone at noon and again in the evening and then a 3rd time overnight.... I also have been receiving text/voicemail text messages hours (up to 12+) after people have sent them...So I go to a rogers store at st. vital mall and the guy doesn't do anything, just writes down a number for me to call (TECH SUPPORT)...FANTASTIC

So i call the number, After trying several times to navigate through their automated voice options i finally speak to an operator (she helps me out by telling me the following: 1) I have to DOWNGRADE to the lower version i previously had due to the fact that the latest version my phone can't handle...sweeeeett. 2) I then have to turn off my phone after our phone call, take out the battery, let it rest for 2 minutes while she resets my network...fine, so I do that.)

She then sends me an email telling me how to DOWNGRADE my version of blackberry...ok sounds good, So i follow the instructions in the email and low and behold, when i have downgraded, i have lost all of my contacts as well as all of my bbm contacts...AREEEE YOOUUU F-IINNGGG KIIDDIIINNNGGGGG MMEE BLLACKKKBBERRYYYY)....I am getting an iphone, I BETTER BE either allowed to cancel my contract free of charge after this terrible experience...feel free to comment oh and if everyone would be so kind to text me their number and say who it is...that would be just peachy lol (my pin also is XXXXXXXX) PLEASE RE-ADD ME)...JESUS

I own a blackberry 9900 and I'm constantly facing problems with this phone. The phone keeps rebooting automatically. I have always been part of the blackberry family but I'm not happy at all with the quality of service provided by blackberry and this is not attracting me to continue using a blackberry. I would really appreciate if blackberry can offer good service to people suffering with their bb electronic items. I thank you in advance for your co-operation.

I've had my BlackBerry 9300 for about a year now. I've tolerated it until now. Within the last two weeks or so it randomly shuts down. It goes dead. I have to pull the battery. Once it reboots, it shows a good charge, but it continues to shut itself down. I've replaced the battery with a brand new one, but to no avail. I realize I'm out of the warranty window, so I'm stuck with a blackberry 'brick.' I am extremely disappointed in the quality and performance of BB phones and will switch to either android or the iphone asap. It appears this is a very common occurance for BB, but they refuse to make it right -- this buisiness model will be their downfall.

It won't be for the lack of customer complaints that caused the extinction of the BlackBerry. If they truely want to succeed, then they should recall phones with this problem, then fix the problem -- seems simple and honest to me. But, we live in a world where the customer doesn't come first any more. I had purchased a blackberry curve 9300 handset, but the phone was defective as the screen had bubbles and the main screen was loose. I had given the phone for replacement on 16th nov morning and was told that i will get the new set in one day after the approval from the company.

Now it has been two days and the service center person says that the company person who is to give approval has gone on a holiday for indefinate period and they do not know when he will be back, but I have to leave for kolkata tomorrow on 19th and hope to get my phone as soon as possible.

hi my self manpreet singh ,i m living in australia, i bought bbstorm2 from 3(network service) nearly 1 year and 4 months before. when i bought just after 1 month ,accidently i broke droped it and broke its screen . at that time i got some cracks but it was still working. i didnt have any problem with its touch screen. at that time i asked 3 cuctomer care to get it repaired and they were asking me $175 to get it done. at that time my financial condition was not good thats why i couldnt get it done. but after that it was working properly . but 2 weeks before its camera stop working. when ever i try to start it it says that close other applications first then try to start it again. i tried it many times but it was still the same.

after i called 3 customer care the guy he tried to fixed that problem by sync and rebooting it but he couldnt. after he replied me that go to some 3 store and give this handset to get it repaired bcos it was still under technical warranty or gurrantee as per aggrement for 24 months. i already submit my mobile to the 3 store at shoping centre near to my house with name as highpoint. but today morning i got reply from them that they cant repair it bcos as it got physical damage so it is not coming under any kind of gurrantee or warranty. and they said that this has been told to them from blackberry.

and they ask me to pay $350 to get it done. thats not fair i told them that i m not asking them to repair the screen i m asking for camera. but the customer care guy said to me the same thing again. now i dont understand what should i do. if i spend $350 i can have same phone secondhand with very good condition. but the thing is not that. my phone was under warranty and they should have repair that. the friend of mine had same problem with his phone but that was iphone and was still under warranty ,and he get his repair done may be apple have more facility for customers as compare to blackberry. i was feeling my self lucky that i have different phone as compare to all my friend. but this bad experience made me to think like that for blackberry.

i feel sorry to say that but thats why blackberry is not much comman as compare to iphone. i was thinking that my next phone willbe bbtorch but my all dreams got flushed with this experience. i dont have any hope for any kind of reply but still i m leaving my details if blackberry can do any thing for me then please.

My Blackberry Bold is 1 1/2 years old. I have had nothing but problems with this phone. I have talked to so many people regarding this problem and there seems to be know one who can help me. I love my blackberry but I am ready to switch to another phone. I thought I would try one last time to speak with someone about this matter. I am not sure what, if anything you can do to help me. I would love to hear from someone real soon regarding this matter. Thank you.

I joined the blackberry family in 2011 and was happy with the service and the phone up until I decided to upgrade to Blackberry 9300. I had my BIS set up, and got right to downloading, my first hiccup was that it was extremely slow, but other than that I had no complaints. And then eventually at times when downloads became fast I couldn't help but notice that my airtime too was fast disappearing. After losing airtime of R50 in just 2 days I decided to call the MTN customer service. However the woman I spoke to wasn't of much assistance, as all she could tell me was that blackberry now charges its clients for downloads. Now, I would like to know if this is true and if so why we were not notified

I have a Blackberry bold 9780, which was purchased from wind mobile for pretty penny, when it has just come out. Three months after I got the phone the screen stopped working. It was still brand new phone, fully taken care of. Blackberry has identified the problem with troubleshooting over the phone that it’s a hardware issue but they refuse to do anything about it…as the phone was unlocked with the code from wind. Wind mobile refuses to assist as I’m no longer a wind client.
This is ridiculous, I’ve always supported blackberry and never had to use their warranty or service before but I will definitely NOT buy a blackberry again as their service is horrible.

I have taken out a contract with MTN for a Blackberry Curve 9360. This contract was taken out on the 24th December 2011 and within 3 days had to return the phone 3 times. The phone kept restarting itself and didn't stop. We were advised that it could be a bad batch and were given a 4th 9360 from another batch. Well guess what it is now the 16 January 2012 and the 4th phone is now doing the same thing. It just reboots itself and keeps restarting. This is so irritating as now we have to go back to MTN and see what they can do. We were also advised that at the branch where we got the Curve 9360 in that period they had received 11 exchanges which surely shoudl ring alarms. If the phone is faulty take it off the market. It is time and energy wasted going back and forth to service providers.

I got my daughter a blackberry curve on contract , for the first week it worked fine , then after that it kept displaying sos initialisation failed. For 3 weeks she couldnt use the phone , except to play music , the phone she dropped and after i took it to carphone warehouse to ask about why the sos was displayed , they sent it off and then informed me the phone was damaged due to ebign dropped? How the hell can that be when it was not working before hand , I was told it would cost me £170 to fix , which was out of order as i only had it a week and it worked only for a short while , then .

I collects the phone after stating i will not be paying the huge bill , and no repair was done , i brigns it hoem only to find that it worked again . then it kept displaying sim card error , and again all was sorted . I think it is disgusting that people are treated this way and are expected to pay for a contract when the flippign thing doesnt work , i wish now i neevr opted for a blackberry. It's an outrage

I am not sure if submitting a complaint helps or not cause does Blackberry manufacturers actually red the complaints and respond?

Bb isd seriously pissing me off! Now AGAIN when I'm downloading from the internet,it takes forever to download! This was a previous problem and now again! I pay for BIS in other words Blackberry Internet Service, and that's what I get for paying??? The service sucks! Everyday I hear of more people leaving the BB world! And I'm sure I'm not the 1st one complaining about this, but you guys just don't give a crap!

Yes For me i am sending this to you very first time and don't understand how under warranty phone not acknowledged becouse of recipt, its related to my blackberry device 9780 (white cooler) EMI- 357175042399369 and pin - 277558EA bought in month of February and gifted to me by my friend on FEB 2012 on birthday, now on very next day (20th Feb that phon was non operational so blackberry offered me a new phon with replacement and now this is working very fine, but from last month my device Batery is hardly giving me backup for 4 hours, on 16/02/2013 when I reached on blackberry
Service center. Ground Floor, 739/1, Parshvanath Building, Opposite To Motorola Building, Old Gurgaon Road, Gurgaon Sector-14, Gurgaon-122001, Mr. Lokesh and Saurabh singhaniya refused to handle it due non availability of recipt which was wrongly taken by at the time of hand set replacement, that time I was not at all aware that they should not. Suppose to take it, as per service center also my phon was under warranty,

This is relly frustrating that you are not going as per your system and a peace of paper is so important rather then ur customers... What I will do for this phone which is giving me backup for a maximum 4 hours..,

I have to download it from the internet but how am I supposed to connect to the internet and download the software if my blackberry is my only form of internet and can not connect on the pc because I can't get the software

On the 2nd day after purchase, I handed the handset(9320) to the shop from where I purchased the BB handset. He received the handset in healthy condition without any scratches, etc. From that day, he followed up with service center and committed that replacement of handset will be given. But after 15 days, I was handed over same handset by shop owner with its motherboard replaced and scratches on the body, which I refused to accept. My handset is with the shop owner who is refusing for replacement inspite of committment. Replacement(DOA) was also promised by Mr. Chirag(Blackberry service center, Thane, Mumbai).

I have a blackberry curve 9300 and bought in last year since then I have had to take it back to the shop where I bought it from to get it fixed 4 times and twice they have give me a brand new blackberry curve 9300 that have the same problems as the first one I had. The problems are when on the internet you can't have two pages on at once for a long time because after five minutes it shuts the page down without worning you, it even does it when I have one page open. The pages take ages to load when trying to get on a page and is only quick for the first couple of minutes. Also the phone freezes from time to time and the tracking pad is un controlable in the wind, yes the wind it moves by its self when you take your finger off it. If my phone brakes or has a fault again can I ask for a different modle phone or get commpensation for being mest about so much when I though I was purchesing a desent phone. Thanks

To Whom It May Concern: I opened another account with the Vodashop in Cresta round the 7th August 2011 and happily got the Blackberry torch as I got my Son one when his upgrade was due and have had no problem whatsoever to date (Touch Wood). Much to my disappointment my phone started freezing up and had to be switched off and rebooted at least once or twice a week then yesterday 31st October at round 10:00 the phone froze completely none of the keys worked and could not even switch it off I called vodashop and was told to take the Phone to Vodacare also in the Cresta centre I did so yesterday at just after five they checked the phone.

Was told that there was a problem with the keys as well I backed up all my data at Vodacare @ R 50. 00 and bought at Cheep Nokia for R 550.00 as I expected to wait a while for my phone. This morning I got an Sms to say I could collect my phone I was quite taken aback as I though it was impossible that they could have sorted the problem so soon I went to the center at 5.30 and got the phone I was annoyed as the phone was full of greasy finger marks could have sworn the Technician had been eating KFC while working on my phone.

I look after my phone its always in is cover and I wipe it with the cloth supplied by Blackberry in the box, not impressed anyway switch on the phone seemed everything was working signed off the job card and went to the chaps that backed up my Data yesterday literally just had to turn around and sit down checked the phone again and to my disgust the thing was totally frozen again exactly the same as yesterday.

I went straight back to the repair counter and showed them (no excuse or explanation THEY JUST PROCEEDED TO BOOK IT IN AGAIN ) I was by this time really angry and said to the lady is that it just book it back in do you think I am stupid they did not do a thing and I find this disgusting not even any form of apology for the inconvenience nothing I would suggest you get some professional customer service representative with some form of people skills instead of the tired staff you have behind the counters.

I will be forwarding this mail to Hello Peter as well as the Consumer Protector as the phone has not even made three months and I had no problem sending it in as it obviously older than seven days but I then would at least expect it to be repaired and not retuned the next day as if I am some sort of fool that has no clue what I am doing this is not my first Blackberry and I am fairly clued up on them...

I have been a Blackberry user for a number of years. The qwerty, trackpad, e-mail, battery life and simplicity of the OS was something that I appreciated over the competitors. The Blackberry's have been the best for business use. The only upgrade that was needed was improved browser, increase in business applications and multi-media capabilities.

You wasted so much money and energy with the Z10. Very few Android and Apple users will have any incentive to switch to the new Blackberry OS, while alienating the loyal and core users. You aren't being Blackberry anymore. You are being an Android and Apple copycat company.

What is going to happen is there are going to be loyal customers that will choose to move to Android. Not for the touchscreen. I am saying the qwerty keyboard phones. I don't understand what the company is thinking. Another idea is to use the Android OS just for a full touchscreen phone and leave it at that. Try to get the market that way.

The Q10 and similar physical qwerty phones should be the basis of your business. I have heard that there is a lack of basic function capabilities on the new OS. For example, the search function used to be great before 0s6. You could punch in a word and find a contact based on the information in the notes section. I don't understand why you took that feature away. It caused people that relied on putting information in the notes section for seach purposes to now lose out on that way to find contacts.

The browser has been average and this is why you had to improve it. Great, we are all happy for the improvement but please don't take away features that the loyal customers have grown accustomed to having. I care about the company. I want you to succeed but it has to be with your niche.

I hope this reaches someone at Blackberry.

Hi,

I bought a Blackberry 8520 from Sangeetha in JP nagar 7th phase, the bluetooth and data cord file transfer of handset does not work. I called up Sangeetha to submit the handset to Blackberry service center. They kept the handset for 20 days and did not resolve my issue and returned it to me via Sangeetha. This is pathetic customer service from Blackberry, I want someone to revert to me at my phone number - 98865-28180 to resolve this issue or I have to go to consumer court to have this adhered.

Thanks,

Binu Balakrishnan

In March 2011 I purchased for myself and family four blackberry curves, an expensive adventure, but we were excited to have them and I have maintained the equally expensive monthy fees asscoiated with the phones as we enjoy them very much. Even when we went without the phones operations this past fall due to the blackberry system crash we stood strong behind the cell phones we choose. Unfortunately these last few months I have had to question our choice. Our phones have started to freeze, to randomly scroll through text, to constantly having to remove the battery to reset the phone, delays in receiving calls and messages to not receiving the update noticifications for the installed apps.

To help I contacted the establishment I purchased the phones from, they recommended updating my OS. So I did the update on all four phones. The problems did not correct, they got worse, and one of the phones completley stopped working. I now have a sour taste in my mouth in regards to weather I did make the right choice for a cell phone. The phones have been sent for repair, yet I now have concerns in weather or not this will be a recuring issue how often will I be without a cell phone, that I use for work and still have monthy charges for.

How fortunate for me that these problems started shy of one year of ownership, as I am begining to think that the cell phone that I was so excited to have was actully a bad choice. I now have to question if it Blackeberry's business practices to make and sell products that only work long enough to start costing their customers money. The iphones are looking very good. I would only hope that you will find a resolution to renew my faith.

This is with reference to broken usb slot of my black berry bold. My phone was not getting charged due to broken USB slot and i showed this to blackberry service center. On checking first i was told there will be service as well as part replacement charges I asked about the payment as my handset was still under warranty period why should i be charged for service charges. only replacement on usb port should be charged.

I requested to recheck with their dept and confirm me . On this I received email from the service center confirming that my black berry cannot be repaired at all and i can buy another handset by paying 80 % of the price. This is something unacceptable as phone which had only charging issue is not repairable now. I gave the phone in working condition and its now redundant.

My handset was working fine only problem was with charging and now as i argued on service charges and my phone was declared handset which cannot be repaired. this is pathetic service for the brand name like this and would never buy and advice any one to buy BLACKBERRY. I want my complaint should be addressed in a more professional way. I want my handset to be repaired with to be returned back to me in working condition.....

Well let me tell u something about the blackberry bold 9800..., It switches off when it likes, the flash works when it wants to! Even though its got 3G, it dose not go on to the internet in the early hours of the morning "2am to 5am" while i'm at work. I'm not going to lie. I have owned the Blackberry Curve before, and when i laid my hands on the Blackberry Bold 9800 it felt like no other! I ended up buying it! I find it so useful it helps me at my job "during" the day time. But it would be nice to have the internet when i need it! Its my second BOLD now, and i'm not impressed neither are the people iv been speaking to! I would love to buy the new bold, but i refuse! Because i am not going to buy such an expensive phone just for the looks! It would be nice if i can get a reply or a suggestion to my complaint.

I would like to complain profusely about the complete joke that is the Blackberry Torch smartphone. I was stupid enough to get it on a two year contract (locked in till September) and its the worst phone I've ever had. The number of times I have had to simply knock the battery out of the back and start again due to the phone constantly freezing, the facebook app freezing (also made a fatal mistake of downloading the latest version which has made facebook even worse) and now I am being plagued again with this stupid timer thing going when I'm trying to send a text, comment on facebook....anything really!! I would not recommend this smartphone to anyone and am so incensed about what a crap phone this is, I am now considering putting a video on youtube urging people NOT to buy it as it is a joke!

40

I bought a Z10, it did not work, they said I have damaged the SIM card holder, it was not under warranty so cannot replace a new one. I asked for a quote to have it repaired and two weeks have gone and they still cannot quote me a price. What kind of company am I dealing with? How much longer do I have to wait for just a quotation?

Hi Sir/Madam I have a blackberry curve 8520 and I have a problem with it cos its can't notify me if I receive an email and I tried to setup my email but it only gave me one option that say:I want to use work email address...,actually I dnt want to use work email then it can't go through, sometime it tell me to put activation server password and I dnt have it,the only thing that bother me is that I see my email if I check my internet and sometime I saw a email after an Hour cos it not notify me if you can help me with that.and setup my email and wireless.thanx

I purchased a Blackberry 9360 for my daughter on 15 September 2012. On 26 September 2012, 5 days after the final date for return, the phone stopped working. I took the phone into Vodacom Fourways Mall and they sent it away for repairs. 10 days later I collected the phone, but it only worked for 2 weeks. I took the phone back again on 10 October 2012. After a month of the phone being in for repairs they called to say there was a refurbished phone waiting for me. I was not happy with his and asked if I could rather pay the difference and purchase a better Blackberry as this model was obviously not great. This wasn't possible. We have now had the phone since 10 November and it has never worked properly. today the front cover started to come loose!

I am so disappointed as I am a big Blackberry fan and both my daughters have one so do I. The problem is it appears that if you have this type of problem with your Blackberry there is no one to contact to get assistance in sorting it out. the vodacom shop where I bought the phone don't seem prepared to help as they say its a Blackberry problem and all they can do is keep sending it in for repairs. At this stage the phone has been in the workshop more than out. I would love to pay in the extra and get my daughter a better phone.

I have been a loyal supporter of BlackBerry ever since I purchased the BlackBerry Bold 9780 for R 4200 24 September 2011. It worked rather well until 5 months ago when the black hour-glass icon appeared all the time and it had major memory issues. Eventually I had to take it to get the software removed and reinstalled. Anyhow, after the software was re-installed , the issue came back a week later. I complained to the Regional Manager of the chain of stores in Cape Town , South Africa. She issued me with a brand new BB Bold 9900 (which was selling for R 6600). Anyhow heres where my focus from being a loyal supporter to an absolute hater of your product. I was issued a BB Bold 9900 Saturday 1 December 2012 as part of the exchange process from my BB 9780 = it lasted 6 days where I had BIS connectivity issues.

Exchange 2 BB Bold 9900 Friday 7 December 2012 then BIS connectivity issues again. Exchange 3 BB Bold 9900 Friday 14 December 2012. I assumed it may have been a bad batch of this model from this store so I asked the Regional Manager to organise one from a different store This one lasted 2 days before the BIS connectivity issues reappeared. My cellular provider did nothing to rectify the problem. I will gladly attach images of the errors I experienced using the so-called faster, better new Blackberry Bold 9900.

I have a Blackberry 8520 which was purchased in February this year. The phone has always been taken care of. Under the terms of purchase the phone had a 1 year warranty. The phone will no longer charge. The Phone has been sent to Blackberry who have advised they will not fix the phone under the warranty because covering the charing of the phone is not covered!! This is a joke. The phone should last at least a few years and not break within a very short space of time.

Hello sir,
I have a blackberry curve 9220. i am getting problems in the handset.the battery connectors are loose and due to that the handset restarts frequently or at times goes in off state. to make it functional i have to insert a small piece of paper in between the battery and its connectors. i had made the complaint for same in January 2013 at Nehru place service center, Delhi and they kept the handset for 15 days on pretext that they handset will be sent to Banglore. i received the handset after 15 days as it was before, ie with no corrections. its been more than 3 months that the part is still not available. the handset is still under warranty. neither they are doing any efforts nor they are replacing my handset. it is too frustrating for me.

So I've had a lot of problems with slow downloading while i have 3G so i contacted my service provider where I've been told than Blackberry is blocking of downloads only letting browsing... As I 3 year Blackberry customer I've started making use of Blackberry because of the unlimited downloads as it was advertised on national TV. If this is the case that Blackberry do prevent its customers that pays there BIS to be able to download I for one will not buy a Blackberry again or choose a Blackberry when i upgrade. To make my point of view stronger I am not the only one who feels this way as according to forums and answering sites thousands of Blackberry users feel the same way. Even 90% of the people i know that make use of Blackberry also say that they will rather then make use of tablets, Iphones and other hand sets. So here by Blackberry will have a loss of thousands of customers. I for one do understand the fact that numbers of user do miss use this privilege but in advantage of Blackberry its self it will be more wise to rather set a limit like normal uncapped internet service providers do to prevent miss use but still keeping customers happy. I for hope that this issue will be taken up seriously and that actions may be taking in order to fix this which are leaving numbers of Blackberry customers unhappy and leaving a none satisfying thought in our mind regarding Blackberry.

I sent my BB9630 in for repairs, as it wouldn't switch on. 3 weeks later I received a new phone, only to find out that it wasn't working either! It was sent back again, and after 2 weeks I was notified that it was sent for "a higher level of repair" (job nr 8371319). I've now been without my phone for 5 weeks! This is ridiculous. I wonder if Blackberry thinks that I will promote their products after this?

I will start by saying as a loyal customer to canadian business and products regardless of your declining success my wife and I bought new blackberry bold 9900's. After a couple of months her screen began 2 act up. She toook it back to rogers they opened it up and could not see any reason for malfunction so they sent it back to blackberry who never contacted her about what was happening. Long story short she contacted rogers and rogers contacted blackberry who claimed water damage. We could not believe this claim because nothing bad ever happened to it for there to be water damage. Sorry to say unless you, blackberry provides some compensation you have lost another two customers.

I sent my blackberry curve into bell 6 weeks ago. I just got it back and it said that the warranty was void due to physical damage. The warranty costing a lot as it is to even get. I find this unfair because in my opinion I think it got warn out over the year I've been using it and that it wasn't all my fault. Now i have to go buy a new phone, all because nobody seems to believe me and what I have said.

I recently upgraded my BlackBerry Curve 9360 and since then my trackpad baarely, ever works and it keeps rebooting. ive only had it for about five months now and this isn't the first problem. My first problem was the vibration stopped working and I contacted the BlackBerry RIM people and the helped me fix it then it stopped working again shortly after... The next problem was the trackpad started acting up then I updated my BLackBerry Curve 9360 to 7.1 Bundle1996 and ever since then it has rebooted every time I unlocked my phone.

After buying a playbook for my daughter along with 3 other work colleagues all of our playbooks have the same fault and can't be charged, when sending off to be fixed blackberry have said it is usb damage and won't cover the repair even though it has been very carefully used. I am absolutely disgusted and will be warning everyone I know to never buy anything from blackberry! Clearley as it is not an isolated incident and has happened to more than 3 others the same make it is poor quality with faults. Currys where it was purchaced from have also said they have had alot brought back with the same fault, it is disgusting that blackberry can be doing this to consumers, I shall be taking it further!

I have a BlackBerry Bold on contract and my screen is giving problems. The display is blurry and patchy. On Sunday 18 September 2011 I went to the Bayside Village branch where the saleslady, Shahieda Smith, gave me all the wrong information. It will take 3 weeks for my phone to get fixed and I will loose all my data on the phone. She also promised me that the store manager, Faldielah Valley, will give me a call by the following day as I insisted that should they take my phone that I will need a handpiece to borrow as I have a business and all my emails are on my phone, etc.

It is now Tuesday 20 September and nobody has contacted me and my phone is getting worse by the minute. I even offered to take my phone to the repair centre to try and save time, but I got zero service and NO help. My phone is still guaranteed under contract - I've only had it for a year. I think it is disgusting - I spent almost R700 per month (sometimes more) and I'm never behind with any of my payments. As a customer I expect the service that I pay for.

Good morning
My name is Priscilla Bon, I purchased my Blackberry on 09 March 2013 from Markhams in Table View outside of Cape Town. It is a 9320 which cost me R2400 and after only 6 weeks, I had to return it because it was overheating very severaly. Now I have to wait 4 weeks before I can have it back or replaced. That is almost as long as I have had it, and in the mean time, I am stuck with no means of contact or communication as they do not even want to give me a loan phone. It has been less than a week that I returned it and already I am missing appointments, and people battling to get hold of me. Please advise why it must take so long. I have had my other phone for over three years and never had problems like this.

Last December i got my first blackberry i was told they were one of the best phones to have so i decided to get one. after only a month of having my blackberry it started to freeze, then after a while it started freezing everyday. i had to keep rebooting it nearly everyday so that i could stay in contact with my friends and family. then the enternet started crashing , i was not able to go online or even send messeges through bbm. i pay for all these things on my blackberry and i do not get any of them anymore. my blackberry recently started running like brand new again.

i was considering getting a new one this year, but then it started doing the same old things: freezing , no internet , my messages wont send and sometimes i cant receive important phone calls. as i said i am paying for these things every month but not getting them. i am just wasting my money!

DeI cannot find a correct email address and currently and I am abroad, so calling customer support is not an option. If this is not the correct place to submit a written complaint, please could you very kindly forward it onto the relevant department. I am writing this email to express my unhappiness and dissatisfaction with my Blackberry. I purchased my Blackberry Bold 9790 at the end of spring 2012 through the Carphone Warehouse. Since then, this model has been nothing but problematic.

For example, this model constantly freezes and displays the 'timer' icon in a small box in the middle of the screen. The most recent problem occurred last week. An application appeared on my home screen, entitled 'software update'. Naturally, believing it was a legitimate icon, I began the software update. The screen then froze at 7% completion. I then turned it off, took the battery out and restarted it. The problem persisted. I then took it to Geek Squad (my technical support and insurance company) and was assisted there. They told me that this was a very common occurrence and should have done the update through a computer and that the newest models no longer have this software option due to regular malfunctions.

The update was completed, subsequently leading to my phone being restored to its factory settings, thus loosing all contacts, emails, text messages, downloaded applications and saved preferences. It has also brought the rate of internet searches down. The mere fact that this is 'common occurrence' is simply not good enough of a leading phone company. Secondly, there was no recommendation from Blackberry to complete this update through the PC. The only recommendation came through public internet forums. Now, my phone regularly restarts, even if I am half way through using it.

This is highly inconvenient and is solely the responsibility of Blackberry. I feel the only way this can be resolved, and to keep my respect for Blackberry, is to be sent a newer model handset, where these problems do not occur. A phone model as modern as mine, should not be having these problems. I will not be happy to send my phone to Blackberry for inspection, until a new model has arrived, as my phone is vital for my work and pleasure.

I will be very dissatisfied to be kept waiting on a temporary phone, for an uncertain amount of time, until it is fixed. I will send my phone once a new model has arrived. Naturally, the recipient of this email is not to blame. The manufacturing team is and I am sorry that you have to deal with this, when it is the fault of your company. However, this issue does need to be sorted and I will accept no method or outcome, other than the one I have proposed. I have lost all faith in Blackberry and need to be treated like a customer, as I have invested a lot of money into this model. I hope this issue can be resolved efficiently and properly.

i have a blackberry 8520 (curve) that has a broken charger slot this is the 3rd one that ive had & all previous phones broke in the same place, this does not fall under parts that my insurance cover. i'm extremely annoyed about it & believe that this modle phone should have been recalled as this is a common fault.

I bought my 9 year old daughter a blackberry. The battery life is shocking. but my main concern is the fact that this so call good quality mobile phone nearly burnt my house down!. The flash light on the phone flicks on and off as it pleases, but it then dint turn off at all, i went through all the settings and chose the option to turn the light OFF but this did not work, i tried this several times an still failed. I then tried turning the phone off this still did not work. in the meanwhile this was not a major problem, the problem was my daughter took her phone to bed as normal but by the morning the light was still ON an the phone was hot, the light had got that hot it had scorched the bedding melted the bit around the light. If this was left just a little longer it could have been fatal. I'm not happy about this and would like something doing about it. I'm willing to go to any lengths to get this sorted. I do not expect to buy my daughter a phone and it happens to be deadly.

I have purchased a Blackberry Bold 2 just 9 months back for Rs- 21500.00 from my saving. Wid great excitment of purchasing a phone of a world famous & reputed company. To my bad luck there was a theft in my car after purchasing of 10 days my all things were stolen except phone & box(which I found from few steps away from my car) . There was a problem right from first day. There was a problem wid software d phone usually hangs & gets restarted 5 to 6 times in a day & dat to sometimes wen its gets restarted a battery logo wid a red colour cut mark on it displayes on d screen.

Sometimes a ERROR appears on d screen. After which I have to take out d battery den only it starts again. Sometimes wen I put d phone at charging it charges but also gets heated from d back side. My mummy had told me several times to throw that phone take some other phone she says " jaan hai to jahan hai ". I can't do that because its my hard earned money. I had compromised wid d defect because I didn't time to go to any service centre. But recently wen I visited there they said dey need d bill. But now d water reached to head mark. I had contacted service centre but dey they didn't do anything.

I was going to consumer court but someone suggested me to contact u. Looking forward for ur kind co-operation and positive feedback. Hope u will help me. I REQUEST u to take necessary. & appropriate action. Thanking you.

I bought a BlackBerry Phone (8520 curve) on October 3rd, Activated it for the first time on Oct 6th and the phone got DEAD on Oct 7th. I went to the store from where I bought the BlackBerry on Oct 8th. They told me that they will have to send the handset to the BlackBerry Service Center, and the process will work faster if I go there myself. I went to the Blackberry Service Center the same day (Oct 8th) at Lajpat Nagar. They gave me a DOA (Dead on Arrival) certificate and told me that I can show this to the dealer and he can replace it. They said that I would need to have the box and if I dont have it then I will have to check with the dealer as to how he can replace it.

Incidentally, I had thrown away the box after activating the phone as I thought that I would not need it any more.

I went back to the shop / dealer the same day (Orange Cellular SHoppe, 134 A, Taimoor Nagar, New Friends Colony, New Delhi - 110025, #26840506) and the shop keeper refused to replace it without the box. He said that they cant do anything about it. I have gone through the BlackBerry Warranty on the Blackberry Site and it does not mention anywhere the requirement of a box to replace the phone.

I have purchased a Black Berry 8520 ( IMEI no- 357257043437982 ) on 25 may 2011 from Mobile Store Ahmedabad Gujrat (India). And after using couple of weeks i found it was hanging frequently, then i handed over to Black berry service centre & they've just updated the software, but the problem was remain same & the same thing is repeated four times & every time they just update the software & said your problem is resolved but my problem is remains same. So just in 2 months my phone is serviced four times. Now i am fad-up with the black berry services.

So, i send them a request for replacement of handset but they didn't reply.

I am being unnecessarily harassed by the shopkeeper. At the time of purchase, the shopkeeper never mentioned about keeping the box with me in case of anything going wrong with the phone, for a replacement. I want to take this up with the right authority and file a case against the shopkeeper for harassment and refusing to comply with the warranty procedure.

I am currently living in south-africa and I am using MTN as my service provider. I am using a blackberry curve 9360. The internet speeds are limited for all MTN users, beyond normal use for internet, I wish to know why is that so and when it will be fixed. I pay my monthly BIS fees so I demand service for my money and so far I am not happy with the service. I am asking you to replay me on my query. For me and my fellow blackberry users are deciding on turning to other phone brands on the market. As well as Vodacom users are reporting the same problem, I wish for you too look in to this and let me know as soon as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read my query and complaint.

I bought a blackberry curve about a year and a half a go from t mobile for £189.99, and two weeks before the warranty ended it broke so I sent it off to be repaired, it couldn't be repaired so I got sent a brand new handset and after having that for two months it broke in the exact same way by having a White screen when turned on, when I took it back to t mobile they said there was nothing they could do as it was not under the warranty anymore, alternatively I could send it off to blackberry and pay £105 for a new phone?

This is completely rediculous, a brand new phone should not last two months, blackberry probably sent me a faulty phone knowing my warranty was over, it is appaling that the new phone does not also have a warranty, and from this i've found that blackberrys are useless phones with faulty software, why on earth I wasted almost £200 on a phone that constantly broke I do not know, and as of the poor customer service, I can assure I definately will no be recommending a blackberry to anyone. Very dissatisfied.

Do not buy the blackberry z10. I have bought two of your products due to its popular demand for my boys, aged 14 and 15. The product is the blackberry Z10 cell phone. Since the purchase they have been very happy. However recently things have not been so great. We bought the first one in June 2014, the second one in September 2014. They have since then been fine till like i said recent. The second one that we bought has now stopped working or not charging or not even switching on for whatever reason. To which we thought at first was our sons fault for doing something to the phone, as kids sometimes do.

So i took it in to a cell phone repair shop and they came back to me and said they cant fix it, its a blackberry problem. I had to pay for them just too look at it. I did not understand how this is a blackberry problem. So i took it too a second cell phone place more reputable, a blackberry cell phone repair shop in shelly beach port Shepstone. They funny enough told me the same thing. Only to say that they had 6 or 7 other z10 cell phones with exactly the same or similar problem.

I said to them i believed them because the first cell phone we purchased had started doing the exact same thing the second cell phone did. And it has now also stopped working with the same problem as cell phone two and it started its faults not even 3 to 4 days after the second cell phone had been taken in to the first cell phone repair place. Now i don’t believe that both cell phones could have been damaged in the same way by two different people at two different times with the exact same problem. Not possible. I would like to know how blackberry would be responding to this.

40

I had to wipe my blackberry and I wrote down all my passwords, but I cant sign into my blackberry with one of my passwords, I clicked on forgot password and it asks for a security answer, click on forgot and it redirects me to www.blackberry.com/blackberryid where it still asks for the security answer, which I cannot remember, as I can see online this is a huge problem so why has blackberry not came up with a solution? isn't your email enough as it is linked to your cell number, cant blackberry see the location from trying to login/resseting the passwords location and see its from the same phone or computer? yes its easy to say create a new id but this doesn't solve my problem as im going to loose all my contacts.

Please help me. I am using a Q10 and my blackberry app world doesn't open when I try to open it. It will write 'unable to open app world'. Please I need an urgent help and can't believe that I cannot get in touch with someone at blackberry customer service desk. I have tried calling phone numbers and everything else and still nothing!

I have a Blackberry Q5 which is in warranty. The cellphone started giving problems related to power button and when I went to blackberry service centre they said that they can't help me because they don't do replacements and I will have to pay for the repairs. Now I am looking forward to complain in Consumer Court if this issue is not resolved by the service centre.

I purchased the blackberry playbook tablet on 9/13/13 and is no longer working. Not only does it not work now but it was almost impossible to download music or music videos from my laptop. It has been nothing but a hassle since I purchased it. Ironically I purchased a similar tablet from another company for my wife at half the price and it works well in all areas. I can certainly say that this has been a lesson learned. Thanks for all the aggravation and wasted money

Well I have been a loyal BlackBerry user since first moving from a Nokia (After 15years) to a Bold which I loved after 4 yrs it became unreliable so I upgraded.. to a Z10 I like the layout etc but since the day I upgraded via 3 in the UK its never been right kept complaining but the 3 shop in the Westfield shopping centre had 3/4 manager changers in 6 months they even lost my box and all the paper work I left with them after leaving my Z10 for them to try and sort.. eve even your own rep never got in contact with the shop or myself.. Terrible service from 3 (and been a customer with them for 8+ years too) Dec my camera played up and stopped working so went to 3 shop in East street staff very helpful and sent for a repair so I had it back in time for going to Australia and it came back fixed… LOL NOT so had to pay for 3 to deliver me a refurbed unit which after 5 days and in OZ the camera stopped working also.. been in to the 3 shop East street 1st March again and spoke with the manager emailed him with a time line of the problems had a reply and he has passed it on but still no response from 3 about sorting it out. So I thought I would contact you but HA HA no email contact on your website so thought I would use FB to see if any one on here cares about customer service but also the way that your partners deal with a customers problem and your faulty

I had purchased a Blackberry battery on 15th December 2012 from an authorized dealer – Ambe electronics, in Noida. About three or four days back the battery started getting discharged while talking on the phone. I went to the dealer and told him the problem. He said that the battery needs tot be changed as it is not working properly. I told him that the battery was purchased just three months earlier and it was not possible for such a reputed brand’s battery to go bad within three months. He refused to listen because if the battery has packed up in such a short time then they must’ve given me an old battery. I would appreciate it if you would take action against them for giving me an old or maybe a local one and please do solve my problem.

I renewed my blackberry contract from the vodacom shop in George at the Mall in January 2013 (end). Since then my phone had to go back to get a new batttery and on Friday I took it in to be looked at again. It gets warm and the battery don’t even last a day. The assistant there told me they will have a look and that it might need a software upgrade. On my return to find out what the problem was, I was told that they need to send the phone to JHB and it would take a week to get back.

I wasn’t asked to sign a thing, it just went. Today I was told that it might take up to 2 weeks to get my phone back. I will never ever get a blackberry again!!! My phone is my work and in the less than 3 months I had my Blackberry 9320, I had to take it back to the shop twice and now I don’t have a phone for 2 weeks! I didn’t even get a loan phone-nothing! I am really dissappointed in blackberry! I tried to get out of the deal to try and get another phone, but no! Not permitted. Really, really, really bad service and fed up with this.

.Last year in May I upgraded to a Blackberry Torch. The phone started giving me problems of freezing. Each time I try to touch it would be blank until I have to tap it. It would start by displaying the wrong time which was displayed the last time I used it. Unaware I would take the displayed time as correct but in time would realize that this is the wrong time. The phone would quickly change to the right time while I am still amazed.

I took the phone to Menlyn for repairs and to my dismay, they only gave me three hours waiting time and said I could hang around somewhere around the mall while it is being repaired. I went back to get back my “repaired” phone. The phone continued giving me the same problem but I hung on to it and would sometimes call 111 where I would be a be advised to remove the battery and the sim card for some time and then return them after five or ten minutes.

The attempt bore no fruits but due to time constraints and high petrol price I would continue using the phone until it started to “delete” my files and pictures. I had stored memorabilia pictures from 2008 transferred from my previous phones . When I click on files it shows the codes representing the files but clicking on the files they show the message”unable to display file.”

On April 1 201rI called the customer care line 111 explaining the challenge and the consultant advised me that was a software problem and thus can’t be solved by phone. I heeded his advise and On the second of April I took my precious time despite ascending petrol price, drove to Menlyn once again, explained my problem to the assistant stating the exact two problems I have alluded to:freezing and deleting files and also explained that the phone no longer stores all files and pictures received through Whatsapp or from other sources as it used to.

I left the phone for repairs but to my dismay I got sms that the phone was ready for collection. I fetched it yesterday but the problem persists. I’m frustrated as it is. All my attempts failed and I am stuck with the dysfunctional phone.

I had a blackberry 8520 from Vodacom, it got damaged I paid for it to be repaired and when it was returned it was faulty again, i sent it back I was sent a re-furbished phone as a repalcement and now this has also broken. Now Vodacom wants to charge me R885 to have it repaired again, they say maybe it cant be repaired and then there is nothing they can do about it. This is the cell replacement they gave me because they messed up my first repair. Now I keep getting the brush off and passing the buck story.

Good to see innumerable blackberry stores in every corner of Kolkata city. But when its time for providing service there’s only one sole service centre in this huge city, that too suddenly it has got shifted to a tacky place where people in large numbers are somehow managing in a small crappy room.

Radington is no more the service provider for BB, its HCL infosystems now. No complaints against HCL infosystems. But atleast BB should have maintained the standard expected out of them in selecting their service centre’s location, the office, the interiors of the office, the space available, the quality of manpower sitting there to listen to customers .

Its scary to visit that place again and again.

Hi, I am using Bold 9790 worth 25000inr, but from first day its Battery is very poor. I have visited their custmer care center as well but initially there is LONG Queue and then even without listening to fault they just ask to handover phone for 10-12 days. I must say Blackberry is MOST pathetic vendor in india.

To whom it may concern, I took out a contract in January 2012 with Phones 4 U, Lancaster, Lancashire, United Kingdom. I was misold the contract as I asked for a Dolphin Package and the sales assistant alerted me that new plans had gone into action and the lowest tariff for the Blackberry Torch phone I had chosen was a Panther Package at 36 pounds a month .

This gave me 900 minutes that I did not want. After realising that I had recieved the false information about the service plan for the phone and I could actually get a cheaper package through Phones 4 U with 300 minutes at 26 pound a month I went straight into the shop less than a couple of weeks later to explain the issue and I was told that I could not edit my service plan for another 12 months.

I then consistantly had numerous problems with the phone which led me to visiting the Lancaster and Barrow shop several times about my phone due to it crashing, the camera breaking and saying it was open in another application etc. I was told to reset my phone, carry out an update on the phone, to plug my phone into the computer etc. All of these suggestions from Phones 4 U never actually solved the problem, however, I put up with the phone for a further 11 months.

Then suddenly the keypad on the phone stopped working all together. I sent my phone off for repair through Phones 4 U to the Blackberry Repair Centre. The phone was sent back to me after three weeks explaining that it was beyond economical repair and that the phone had liquid damage. They explained that this did not necessarily mean dropping my phone in a bowl of water it meant that there was a build up of condesation in the phone.

The phone has never been put in a bathroom nor has it been out in the rain unprotected. I have always kept the phone in a leather Blackberry phone case that I purchased through Phones 4 U. Unhappy with what Blackberry had said as I still have 12 months remaining on my contract which adds up to 432 pounds for the whole year I returned to the Phones 4 U store.

They noted that their was no signs of liquid damage on the indicators inside the phone and on the battery and that the liquid damage was only internal. They contacted Blackberry and asked them if they could reassess the phone and they refused to allow me to book my phone back into the repair centre for a second look or even to be assessed again so that I could find out how much it would cost to repair. The Sales Assistant in Phones 4 U then rang their Customer Services line to explain that I was dissatisfied with the level of aftercare I was recieving and that I was unhappy that the Blackberry Centre had explained it was liquid damaged and refused to allow me to re-book my phone into the Repair Centre.

They explained that Blackberry’s decision was final and their was nothing else they could do. Unhappy with the information I had recieved and distressed at the fact I would be paying 432 pound over the next 12 months for a phone that I wasn’t using I then asked if they could change my Service Plan and hopefully reduce it.

The Sales Assistant rang Orange Customer Services to see if they could change my Service Plan for the next twelve months. Orange said I could only reduce my Service Plan by one stage and this would mean only knocking 300 minutes off which would reduce my bill by five pounds.

Preferably I would have wanted my bill to be reduced to the lowest minutes (300 not 900) that I had originally asked for when I first started up the contract and for my blackberry bundle to be removed from my Service Plan as I no longer have a working Blackberry! However, Orange stuck to their guns and continued to alert the man that I could only reduce my bill by the five pounds.

This was the final straw. I then went to the local “Mobile Man” to see what he thought of the phone. He let me know that the build up of condensation was not beyond repair and he booked my phone in to be looked at. If the fixed then it will cost me a total of 38 pounds and if it is not fixed then there is no charge.

A complete difference to what the Blackberry Repair Centre had told me and a complete relief that there is still hope for the phone to be fixed. If I hadn’t gone out of my way to see if their was any other solution then I would have lost out on a 500 pound phone and had to continue paying for a phone for the next 12 months whilst I am at University.

If my phone is not repaired through the mobile man and I am left to continue to pay for a contract without a phone then I will be contacting Trading Standards or Citizen’s Advice as this problem is causing me a lot of distress and upset and I feel that I have completely been let down by three different companies Phones 4 U, Orange and Blackberry.

I purchased my blackberry 9320 yesterday 27th of December 2012. I set it up but in my blackberry ID and everything was okay. I went into blackberry messenger and tried to add my friend. It kept coming up pending yet she got no request. I looked it up online and it said I had to update my blackberry messenger. I went onto blackberry apply world and updated it. When it was updated I went onto blackberry messenger. It said I had to connect it with my blackberry ID otherwise it would not work. So I but in my password and clicked connect. It comes up saying ‘associating BBM with your blackberry ID’. It has been saying this since last night. I rang up my phone company meteor they said the would send out a text and I was to accept the service codes because I wasn’t connected to the Internet. But my phone is connected to the Internet and I have credit so I see no reason why it shouldn’t work. I also brought it into the phone shop the told my the message should be s enter out in ten to fifteen minutes it was not sent out. I am very annoyed at this and would like it to be fixed please. It’s disgraceful, disappointing and I disgusted with the blackberry service because when I ring blackberry service its saying that I cannot ring from my region. I live in Dublin, Ireland if they sell blackberry here there services should be provided.

I am a Swaziland Blackberry subscriber, I would like to know why, or howcome Swaziland is charging us blackberry users for our internet connection as well as for our apps.. It is apparent to me that else where around the world you don’t have to pay for your internet usage. -2 we pay R90 a month for our bis but still have to pay for our app usage and internet usage. We are billed for everything regarding blackberry. To top it off we have to have airtime on our mobiles constantly other wise we cannot use our internet, bbm, facebook ect. We are billed even if our mobiles are idle. Is this legal? And can Swaziland be liable for these charges or do they have the right to charge as they wish???

I have been a blackberry user for a long time now and have enjoyed the services greatly , especially the uncapped internet service . however the latest problem with error 403 has really put a dampner on the whole service . I have heard of so many people that are having this same problem . Also that there is some kind of limit of 40 mbs for downloads .blackberry users have been been paitient with all the down times and problems . Surely if there is a new problem we should be informed about it. also we all need to know if this is permanent.please let us know . Blackberry is a great product and I hope it continues that way.

I purchased this Blackberry phone from Amazon the seller. The item was purchased as an Xmas present therefore the phone was only in use as at the 25th of Dec. In order to have full access to all facilities his supplier had to allow access which was granted on the 29th Dec. Within 2 weeks of using the Blackberry phone faults have been noted but the seller and Amazon refuse to refund or replace! They’ve charged me over £400 for a faulty item. I will never buy from Amazon ever again. Amazon have no power to assist and refuse to help unlike Paypal!

i had surrender my mobile once again to M/s Dugar sales on dated 04.01.2012 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat,India wide ref no . pL kind to note that third time i am sending back my mobile and also note that this mobile remain inoperative more than 60 days out of 150 days. As previously 30 days due to non availability of battery and than more power consumption than warranted specified in your marketing brochure.Due to CDMA in built sim card system i can not easily switch over to another mobile and my work suffered a lot. Please note that still i had not received my new instrument and my service provider still not got from the co.

You r requested to verify my emails and complaint so that u can evaluate my case properly. I am highly disappointed by the way in which Blackberry is managing this problem! Most individuals using the Blackberry service is quite dependant on it for their various business and communication needs. After experiencing this with them, I was very put off and disgusted. Now I understand why everyone resorts to the Apple iPhone. If Blackberry can’t put processes and procedures in place to prevent and fix problems like these…

I purchased a Blackberry Curve for my wife and within 8 weeks it developed a squiggly vertical line abount 15mm long in the centre of the screen. I returned the phone to Hi Fi corporation who told me that the LCD screen in not under warantee and I must pay for replacement. I told them that Blackberry provides a 1 year warantee on the phone and also Hi Fi also provides a 1 year warantee, but to no evail. This is not acceptable that a latent defect occurs and no one accepts responsiblity for faulty components. The phone was sent to Vodacom who had a so called technician evaluate the repair, but obviously doesn’t know what he is looking at.

There is absolutely no phisical damage only a a sqiggly line in the centre of the screen, which is beyound is technical understanding and now I must pay an additional R900 to repair, on and above the the initial cost of R1800.00 I paid for the phone

I recently purchased a blackberry curve 9360 after reading about its spec on the website, 14 days battery life? Lucky to get 1 day. After reading few forums seems the best thing is to turn off many of the apps etc, if this is the case i should have stuck to my old phone, i wouldn’t even think of listening to music or anything like that cause the battery drains so quickly. Are blackberry going to come up with a solution to this problem (a better battery for starters) Don’t see why we buy a phone only to be told we are using it to much or turn things off!

i bought on 11/24/11 at 0200 one blackberry play book tablet, money was whitdrall at 0204 and all good until 11/27/2011 at 1900 when i got an e-mail saying the order was cancel, i was on the phone with the customer service x 5 times, the signals was lost, where they transfered me to a number where i getting the busy signal, on guy from the customer service told me he doesn’t have any idea why the order was cancel, but was showing was cancel on 11/27/11 at 1600 by an administrator.

I have a blackberry Storm for about one year now, and would like to say this is the worst phone I have ever had. When I have to rebot every couple hours thats bull. We buy these phones and pay alot of mone to use them all the time. I no long can rely on a blackberry, there have been plenty of times at work that I have to call someone and my Blackberry hasn’t worked and i had to use my work phone or someone elses(either Droid or a I phone). I don’t think thats what you guys want. I am not going to buy a Blackberry again. I was very happy with your old phones, not so much now. I will be making a switch to the droid.

I just thought you would want to here from a regular person, maybe one day you can do better( if you want to stay in business). I know I’am one person but add one person to somemore people thats alot. If you want to write back you can reach me. Just thought I would give some feed back!

I purchased a Blackberry Curve from you back in December 2009. It was a Christmas gift from my husband, who paid over £200 pounds. About 6 months ago my phone started freezing, and at times came up with a white screen and an error message on, meaning I had to remove the battery and restart the device. This has now become more frequent and is starting to annoy me. I appreciate that there have been newer and more up to date devices bought out, and purchasing a phone almost 2 years ago to some people seems old, however when you spend this type of money on (at the time) the latest technology, its disappointing having to put up with this type of service.

I am an Orange customer on a pay as you go network, and have been in and spoken to several representatives regarding this, and they have said it’s an issue with the phones network and not direct through them. I am aware that a couple of weeks ago there was issues with the internet service, and I understand that at times unforeseen circumstances can happen, this is something I am not complaining about, its just in general I am now disappointed that my phone is not providing the service I feel it should. I am sure that if I was a contract customer I feel I would have a better quality phone as these get upgraded with their contracts by the phone service provider, however as a pay as you go customer it seems there is not much that we benefit from.

20

When I upgraded my cell phone contract on 11 June 2011 I chose a Blackberry 9300. After approximately 2 months the “toggle” switch developed a life of its own – just running up and down irrespective of what one was trying to do at the time. I thought it was because I was not used to the phone. The problem eventually worsened to the extent that it took 10 minutes to try and type 1 word! After phoning and asking around, I learned that it is a software fault that is a very common 9300 problem. The 8520 don’t seem to have that problem but their keyboards and speakers are apt to give problems.

It was suggested that I have the phone sent in for repairs. Everybody was under the impression that Blackberry is great and do not really repair phones – they replace them. Someone had received 4 new phones since January 2011 because of the same problem. I duly handed the phone in on 7 Ocober 2011 at Vodacom Repairs, Port Elizabeth – job number 7123713-35178303. Imagine my surprise when I was phoned on 17 October 2011 and told that the phone was damaged and I had to pay nearly R600 to get it fixed.

It is an understatement to say that I was not amused. I have never dropped the phone, mishandled it, let it lie face down, always keep it in a leather pouch etc. I would pass a lie detector test with flying colours. It is very funny to me that my problem due to “damage” is exactly the same as a lot of 9300’s experience. My model is the one with the silver edging. It was the only ones left to choose from and I was warned that although better looking, the silver scratches very easily and I must be careful. Surely, if I had “damaged” the phone the silver edging would be scratched? Why is it not????

I am quite disgusted about the way this has been handled. You get told to phone the call centre (my absolute pet hate) when you want to explain and get the matter resolved. The person on the other side is not interested – after all where is the accountability with these call centres? Every time you speak to someone different and have to start at the beginning re-inventing the wheel again and again. They trade on the fact that eventually you will just give up.

It is very simple – I want my Blackberry repaired or replaced at no cost. How difficult is that? It is bad enough that we had to go through all the inconvenience of the system crashing recently. Do we now have to put up with uncaring service as well? I hate being accused of something I didn’t do, but insult doesn’t have to be added to injury as well. My wife is due for an upgrade at the end of the year and I wanted her to get a Blackberry, but after all the negative publicity and opinions, am having serious second thoughts.

I have got my Blackberry contrat through Vodafone for more than a year and a half, I’m paying also insurance and unfortunately I have never enjoy BBM services, I have been more than four times in Westfield Vodafone shop and they couldn’t do nothing even though they changed my Sim Card and let me for a whole wekend without any service and sign, I have been at Vodafone shop in Kings Road and they said that is a blackberry problem. I have sent a complaint throug email to Blackberry and I have never have any answer. Is really disappointed to have such a poor and unprofessional services like this even though I’m paying a lot montly for it. I hope to be hear now.

Theres a man who has died (Steve Jobs) and still he got another iphone coming out which from what i hear is doing really well as usual..you guys are still alive and cant get anything right…first ive been having problems using my facebook chat all because i upgraded and the only reason i upgraded was because i trusted that was the thing to do saying as blackberry was offering this to me free. Now coz of some hacker or whatever is going on i cant use any of my internet, BBM, facebook, twitter and the funny thing is, thats what i got the phone for and thats what im paying for.

but now im paying for a phone that does not work and i want to know what your going to do about this. i know im not the only one feeling this way…everyone has had enough of our blackberry probhlems…dont bring out a product unless you got it right…fix this issue or refund us are money, im talking about those on a bill and those who paid cash for the handset (pay as you go)…my £20 nokia gives me less hassle…i use this blackberry so stay in contact with people far from me who i dont get to see and now i cant even contact them!!!!!!

I am very angry and upset that im am unable to use my blackberry! i had an iPhone which i was happy with until i saw a blackberry and the out come of that i got a blackberry on contract. i ordered the blackberry 8520 which i only had for 3 days then it broke. i then contacted 02 and then they send me the phone im using now the blackberry 9300 which was OK until i couldn’t use the internet, bbm, Facebook, twitter, etc… ive been lost without my phone for too long now its ridiculous!!

Since Saturday 8th October I have had no broadband connection on my BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G I am extremely dissappionted with this as I rely on my phone absolutely. I have spoken to my network provider who have referred me to yourselves. I have been unable to connect to internet, access apps, twitter and facebook. Please rectify this situation as soon as possible or I will have to consider terminating my contract.

Blackberry claims to be a leader in technology yet there is at this current point in time a hacker that disables Blackberry Applications such as Facebook, BBM, Twitter etc.

I’m seriously concerned about how far this hacking will go before someone puts a stop to it. Its been two consecutive days that this problem has not been taken care of… How much more patient should we be because of the neglegance and incompetancies of Blackberry management and IT department

I bought a BlackBerry 9780 smartphone from vodacom on 5/08/21011. The device’s keyboard started double/ triple typing and I researched the problem on the internet. I found on BlackBerry’s technical forums that this is a common problem with the Bold 9780 and according to this forum, the only way to fix the problem is to send it back as the keyboard needs to be replaced. I returned the device to vodacom in Westgate where a Raiz assisted. Job number 7063367. He was very arrogant and dit not listen to a word I was telling him about what the problem was.

He booked in the phone with a problem of the operating system that’s hanging, it can’t type correctly. I told him that this was not the problem, and he said it just needs a software upgrade?? How is a software upgrade going to fix a technical hardware fault? He also “accused” me of the fact that I should watch what I download from BlackBerry App World? Does App world send out viruses? Also this phone is under a 24 month warranty, but according to their system, the warranty has expired! I received the phone back with the exact same problem. I just need this phone fixed! I need it for mobile business!!

Is there any way I can get this phone sent away and repaired properly?

I have purchased blackberry 8520 white from ABC Telecom Rajkot with Bill No. 1557 dated 30-05-11 with high excitement that i will be using smartest phone. But now problem is Phone is Smart but the Service provider and also Service center people are dumb. Actually charger of My White Blackberry 8520 was not working properly(or should i say Charger was not so smart to charge so called blackberry smart phone) and as a man with common sense i gave this charger to Blackberry service center in rajkot named Aryan Technologies with PRD NO. 30011-022, work order No. ynt/bb/11/00535 case ID number BB0176419 dated on 27-08-2011 with a promise of providing (smart) solution in a week.

But till date(08-10-11) they were replying in very smart way that please come after 10 day because (we are not smart) we are not able to find out any solution from company. I know there Hissing Kitty can’t do anything in my case but still registering complain because these so call Blackberry(Smart People) doesn’t have any proper complain for in their website at where my kind of people (with common sense) can register a complain.

Thanx

Manager – Customer Care Service, M/s Blackberry, India. Sub: – Warranty on the Product. This is in reference to the Blackberry Torch IMEI No. 355466048738995 purchased on 06.07.11 from M/s Elegant Communications, 119, Old Rajender Nagar, Main Shankar Road, New Delhi – 110060 vide Invoice 1713-RI/2011-12. On 22.09.11, the handset has sent for repair at M/s Redington India Ltd, B-32, First Floor, Lajpat Nagar II (Near Lajpat Nagar Metro Station), New Delhi – 110024 but the service centre has refused to acknowledge the request and to carry out the repairs, stating that the same is not covered under warranty although the handset is under 18 months warranty.

You are requested to kindly review details of our request and look into the matter that why the hand set is not under warranty? The invoice is enclosed for your reference. Looking forward to your prompt and favorable reply.

Two months after purchasing the Blackberry Torch it has not been working. Keys not working properly and scroll key especially. The phone eventually would not even turn on..just had a black screen. Called Blackberry on three seperate occasions to rectify problems and could not believe all the various forms of “trouble-shooting” they required me to do before they decided to send me a replacememt. The absolute worst part of this is that the replacement phone is a “re-conditioned” phone and their representative told me it will be better than a new one!!!

Yeah I believe that. I will never purchase another “Breakberry” product. I can’t believe that after only two months I can’t get a new phone only a used “re-conditioned” one. Horrible customer service and warranty!!! Buyers be ware!

My Blackberry, which is not even 9 months old, suddenly developed a grey screen. I handed the phone in and was informed that my LCD had cracked, which they only found once the phone was openend. I have not yet had an explanation as to how this occurred. I am a woman in my 40’s, use the phone for professional use only and the phone is always in a magnetic leather pouch, when not being charged, or not in use. It is carried on my person or in a handbag. The phone has not been dropped, squashed or anything that could cause it harm.

It is not covered by the Blackberry warranty, and I am deeply unhappy because what appears to be a very sensitive phone, should come with a severe warning to everyone who purchases this phone. I certainly was not told it is super sensitive to anything.

My phone is in mint condition, which actually aggravates the situation. I have spoken to a gentleman at Blackberry who said I should write them an email and he would forward it on. That was over a week ago and I am still waiting for a response. In the meantime, I am having the phone repaired, at my own cost, but I am doing so reluctantly, and will not recommend Blackberry to anyone wishing to buy one. I have now heard too many complaints about this smart phone.
