So I ordered a book from the website.

A textbook that I need for my class, and I paid the extra shipping fees so it would get to me sooner.

But here I am still without a book that was supposed to be here last Friday.

I understand that covid is putting stress on everyone, but if you can’t deliver on time, then at least refund what I paid for the extra shipping.

I tried to log into the Barnes and Noble website, trying to buy and download a book.

I was told my password was incorrect and choose a new password.

I followed the instructions and created a new password.

Then I was directed back to the sign in page.

When I tried to sign in I got the same password error message.

I went through this process three times.

So then I tried to contact help but got a screen to enter my username and password first.

It does not get any stupider than this.

I came to my senses and downloaded the book on Amazon.

Have been on hold 3 times.

First time 20 minutes, second 1 hour 12 minutes and so far over 35 minutes and still holding.

Is there anyone answering phones?

Barnes and Noble automatically retired my membership without my permission They have never done this before.

Our local store has close and I don't want a membership.

With the store closing I would not a renewed it.

My last membership card says 5438260022.

I want my money back

I recently purchased $150 worth of Funko pop mystery minis from your store in Geneva, IL.

Upon getting home, many of the boxes seemed tampered with as the internal bags were already opened in some, and boxes were not sealed shut.

I feel that I did not receive a good value on this purchase as they must have been returned upon inspection.

Today (at aprrox 1:30) I stood in line at the Cafe patiently waiting to place my order.

Time was passing and the person in front of me was up next.

He must have been a friend of the server because they both wanted to converse about the school classes they were taking...while myself and a number of other customers were waiting for service.

That convo lasted for at least two minutes while all of us were waiting and listening to these two talking about their own lives and school and who knows what else.

This seems petty, but when you want to pay for coffee and a dessert on a rushed schedule, you don't want to hear about the server's life story, or whether she is interested in a date with a customer.

I visit the Cafe frequently and Scott and Marie are the greatest....

ALWAYS efficient…

I went to your Tupelo location and went in thinking I was going to get very fast service getting a hot chocolate.

When I went to pay the employee at the counter named Rachel she gave me my receipt and I layed it down on the counter in front her meaning I did not want it she preceded to tell me to take it to garbage leaving that area..that was very rude second I stayed in line almost 17 minutes while she waited on every customer that came up there.

The third thing is I shop in numerous other of your locations but Tupelo always has the dirtiest mens bathroom and always either out of soap or paper towels,the store manager always blames the traffic in and out of the mall...very sad with a location like this you would think that more attention would be spent on the image of your store.

I placed order 4089027625 on January 2 (Seven books).

One book was going to be released in February and one was cancelled.

I used a total of five gift cards to complete this order.

Since January 9 when the one book was cancelled, I have been looking for a credit in order to request another book.

I have chatted (twice) and called with everyone promising me that a credit will be processed within 24-72 hours.

Just now (January 21) I received an email stating that a credit cannot be issued because I have one book pending release in late February so the order is not complete.

It has taken 12 days for this information to be fowarded to me.

This is totally unacceptable, and does not make any sense.

Why can't this credit be placed in my account or on another gift card or any of the five…

Can’t rate a recent seller because Barnes &Noble says I don’t have an account even though I have used the same email for years with Barnes and Noble and though they keep saying they cannot find my email, someone from Barnes and Noble keeps emailing me.

What is up with Barnes and Noble?

You used to be a great place to buy merchandise and now you just don’t feel it anymore.

Get your head in the game or you will go bankrupt.

I ordered a book online (order #4087626549) on Dec 8, 2019 that was supposed to ship from bookXpress.

I received notification from bookXpress on 12/9 but the tracking number in the email was never valid.

Notification from B&N the same day indicated the book was on it's way to USPS.

That tracing number still says "on its way to USPS" as of 12/31/19.

My credit card was charged on 12/10/19.

It is now 1/2/20 and I have no valid shipping confirmation and no book.

Each time I have called B&N customer service they say they need to contact the seller and they will email me with information.

The last email contact I had with B&N was 12/10/19.

I consider B&N the seller (they charged my credit card) even if the vendor is another company.

This book was to be a Christmas gift to my son, but…

Hello,

I have never received any follow up with incident: 191201-000033 from the located store where the incident happened.

Not sure if I was supposed to be contacted, but it feels like my complaint was not taken seriously and nothing happened to ensure to me that actions took place.

Very disappointed in how this was dealt.

I ordered 2 books on 11/27/2019.

I got one.

On 12/10/2019, I ordered the other 3 books to the series.

I paid extra for 2 day shipping.

I should have got them today.

I am still waiting on 4 of the 5 books.

You don't supply a tracking number for mail purchases, so I am asking you.

Where the He'll are my 4 books?

I should have them by now.

I paid for the shipping for 5 books.

You have my money, I should have my books.

You can send me a refund for the shipping along with the 4 books that I have yet to see.

It doesn't matter what time of year it is.

If you can't do what YOU say that you can, you shouldn't offer it.

Unexpected renewal billed to my credit card.

I did not authorize this.

I understand now that I needed to "opt out" at cashier when I purchased but was not told that at the time.

I probably would have said yes if the option was offered but now I have been annoyed by the practice.

2.

The renewal was $27.

03 and not $25.

No mention of extra fees or taxes was disclosed.

Not a large amount but again, annoying.

3.

I understand cashiers have a quota for signing up discount cards.

This leads them to set false understandings by neglecting to communicate to customers (taxes to be added and automatic renewal).

I do not blame them.

I like the bookstore experience and will continue patronage but only if I learn the practices will stop before next year's renewal.

I have a complaint about the 2nd floor bathroom condition of the Union Square Barnes and Noble located in NYC.

I have visited the 2nd floor bathroom in that location a few times and Everytime the room was filthy!

The floor was always sticky, the toilet paper scattered all over the floor, out of 5 available toilets, 1 was splattered with poops (amazingly it happened Everytime I went in there).

I understand being that it's children's department so things happen more frequently, but it's exactly the reason why it should be cleaned more often!

I love Barnes and Noble store for the availability of the books, but the tardiness of it's bathroom condition of the location is really something they be ashamed of!

There is nothing there that says sexual in nature It says Anxiety.

I was trying to buy a book online.

I had a gift card and a coupon.

The coupon reads" 40% off for Members - In Store present the coupon.

At BN.com enter the code at checkout".

I am a member.

The store doesn't carry this book so I was ordering online.

The discount was only 20%.

Also it would not take my gift card.

It said there was a zero balance when I knew this was not the case.

I called customer service.

I was told there was some sort of error with the gift card on BN's end so I could buy the book now and call back in 48-72 hours to try to get the balance or I could wait 48-72 hours to buy the book and the balance should be restored to the gift card.

No one can tell me what happened.

Then I was told that even though the coupon reads 40% for members and then lists in store AND…

so Recently, about 2 years ago, I was reading a book and was minded my own business and not doing anything wired. and then an employee came up to me and asked me to leave the store. just a simple understanding as spitting on the floor.

I tried to tell her i was sorry and I already learned my lesson. but then the next day the employee came back and this time she went to get her manager. and then he kicked me out.

I Already learned my lesson and the the employee , the manager and a cop came to me. they made me sign a trespass noticed saying that I won't be going into any of the NYC Barnes and nobles again.

This was incredibly wrong.

I can take warnings just fine. but them giving me a trespass notice and banning me completely just crossed the line.

This was a mistake the the employees…

Went to Barnes & Noble around four pm.

I was in the video area and there wasn't one person to help me.

Went to customer service and not one person was around.

Went up front and no one up front.

Prove were waiting in line up front also.

Finally the guy upfront showed himself and I asked why no one was in the video area.

He said there is no one at this time of day working that I had to go to customer Services.

I said no one is in customer service.

He rudely said go back k their and I will call him.

A man and woman were waiting for help in customer service.....finally a woman showed.

When done I asked for help.

Stated I would like my stuff rung up that is in the video area.

She said to go into that area and bring the merchandise up.

We arrived at the store on th RIT campus to buy merchandise.

We were there a minute after close (it was 5:01, they had just made the announcement) And the store manager came up to us and said harshly "the registers are closing now.

It's now or never.

Go." I undersrand they would like to go home But we wrre not addressed polietly and ir was am exact minute after close.

When we got to the register we asked if he was the manager, we were told he was, and my dad preceded to say how awful he was to customers.

The cashier just said "managers can be hard".

They should not be to customers.

If this issue is not addressed I can assure you I will not be going to this location, or any, for my school books and will find other ways to acquire them for my next 4 years of college.

I went to pick up a book on hold for me.

The phone person said that it would be at front counter.when I got there an African American girl said how may I help you, and while I was waiting, the cashier said rudely to me”ma’m the line is over there, I looked at him and told him I was waiting on a book, he rudely said it again, he is a retired looking white man with gray hair.

When I did get to counter with my book I told him what I i was there for even though he was in was shot of the whole conversation and he rudely said of the African American girl”she didn’t belong up here anyway “ As an African American I took total offense to that.. he should not be up front servicing the customers, seems prejudice and rude, never smiled Sadly disappointed.. his customer service skills lack

I ordered a book on line as a gift and learned the person's religion did not allow this book.

The person told me she wanted it.

I returned it to my local B&N and was issued store credit.

That is disappointing but somewhere it must say that is how refunds are issued.

That would be ok if there was something I wanted to purchase.

I looked in the music department at the store and no one was there to help (it is in the back by itself.) I thought I might buy a meditation CD.

I did not find any.

My back is very bad and I walked through the store a bit and did not see anything I did not already have.

I spent hours trying to order on line.

I kept getting a message kicking me out about "running a long script." Finally I saw a book I ordered No 4077344203.
