The employees at the location were rude and unprofessional and not do any checks or anything got my phone number wrong then when I get ahold of them they lie to me and tell me that non of the numbers I put down were good when they spoke to one of the people I put down and then want to threaten me never will do business here again. Rented a self rising reclimer. Was delivered last month but had no power cord. Was told by manager he had to order one. After repeated calls to them still no power cord.
Today they called for payment. Was told cord came in weeks ago and some be one will be by at 1 pm
Now after 4amd still no cord

My husband and I were in the Rent a Center in Cocoa Fl on Thursday April 25th looking for a sectional, The sales clerk sold us a used one for 500.00 but it needed to be cleaned. The cleaners were coming the next day to clean the furniture, so I put down my 94 dollar payment and made the delivery date for Monday April 29th between 4 and 6pm. I called the store on Monday to confirm that they were still bringing my furniture and they told me no, I wasn't on the schedule, and I would have to wait another 4 days for it to be delivered and if I wanted it before then, I was to get a pick up truck and come and get it ourselves. Needless to say we were very angry, we were promised one thing and it didn't happen and then told to come get it ourselves. I'm sorry but I went back to that store and got my deposit back and the store manager didn't even try to make things right. I will never deal with Rent a Center again and I will tell my friends and family about this offal experience.

The Rent a Center in Soldotna is a JOKE!! I've been waiting for SEVEN months for a new recliner (the one I have quit working and I was PROMISED a BRAND NEW recliner by the store manager Markeas Hollis.) My nightmare with this company began at the end of August/beginning of September of 2018. I heard the same pathetic story week after week; "It should be here sometime next week." "It should be here by Monday." "We couldn't pick it up because someone cut the gas lines to our delivery truck and the gas was siphoned out." REALLY??? This is how you do business? I talked to Markeas to express my utter displeasure at getting the runaround and I told him that, "I should be compensated for my time and effort." He had the NERVE to tell me that getting me a new recliner "wasn't something he was supposed to do and his manager, Jordan Gleason doesn't know that he did this and that he was NEVER supposed to do this for me." AGAIN REALLY?? No one EVER told me they couldn't do it. REALLY SHADY people. TERRIBLE business practices and I've been a great customer-never late on ANYTHING. CIAO RAC! JUST AWFUL! BUYER BEWARE!! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!!!!! If I could give ONE MILLION PLUS NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!!!

I rent from rent a center at 3021 Waughtown Street. Winston Salem NC I will be filing harassment charges against Tonya. She has been told numerous times to NOT disrespect my home and my work. I did not give any permission for me to be called 15 times at my JOB. She also, continues to harass me at my home coming over 3 times in one day. Ringing on my door bell for over 10-15 minutes. All is recorded on surveillance camera at my home. This is unacceptable and if she comes over to my home I will contact the POLICE to have her removed from my property. This is not business this is harassment and especially when I been a customer over a year. Then i have to pay for the washer and dryer which was not the set I agreed to purchase as they have not returned my dryer back to me. I was sick last week and when the payment was due they sent someone out to my home that same day! This is straight harassment and I will be filing charges. I owe apprx a little over 300.00 on the 2 last accounts left. So to be treated this way is UNACCEPTABLE. I will never rent from this company. Again, the police will be contacted if Tonya comes to my home! She comes over before the store opens and after the store is closed. Then contact me today at work 10 times and told her to STOP. THAT IS HARASSING ME. SHE has no respect for me as a customer and as a veteran. Her actions will not be tolerated NO MORE. I can be reached at 704-651-8673

there are two people at rent a center that work there that has sticky fingers .they ask if they can use the rest room then take things like medicine. do they do a back ground check on these people !! who ever reads this and thinking about renting from them DON,T LET THEM USE YOUR REST ROOM.THEY ARE THIEVE'S

I have been a customer with Rent-A-Center since 2013, I have a medical condition in which I have to have blood transfusions throughout the year. I have never experienced so much unprofessionalism as I have in the past two weeks. Firstly, I entered the store to make my two week payment with my credit card about two weeks ago, the payment with through with my bank, but there was a glitch in rent a center's computer system which showed that it did not go through on Rent-A-Center's computer system. The current manager there told me that it will show up in their system in 2-3 business days and told me that they have had that issue with their computer system in the past. However, I received a phone call from one of the staff members "Trenika" (a caramel complected middle aged female who was extremely rude) told me that she worked in banking for years and if their system did not receive the payment; a payment wasn't made. She further asked, "What bank do you bank with?" She spoke to me in a condescending tone and was extremely rude. I told the manager what she (Trenika) told me and the manager "Trencia" apologized, told me it was a misunderstanding, and "Trenika" did not know where look in the system to find my payment information. No customer should be spoken to in that manner. Secondly, I did have a payment due on Saturday, November 17, 2018 but, due to my medical condition I did not make it to the store and I did not have any of my valuables with me in the hospital. On Monday morning (11/19/2018) I told rent a center staff that I was going to be in that evening to make a payment. My doctor told me that I would be discharged on Monday pending my test results for my blood count. Unfortunately, I was not discharged. My 16 year old daughter stated that an older White male wearing eyeglasses (with Erick) opened the gate/ door to the patio (on Tuesday, November 20, 2018) and just walked in and asked for me. My daughter told him that I wasn't home. Now, I am appalled that he just walked into our property and my 16 year old daughter was home alone. Whenever I was in the hospital for a period of time, I would simply pay what was pass due plus two or three additional weeks when I was discharged. This has never happened to me as long as I have been with you guys and I have been diagnosed with my condition since 2012. To put It SIMPLY; I AM UPSET because, I was raped when I was 15 in my home by a man just walking into my family's property. This guy Erick just walked in while my child was home alone! Another thing that is sad is that I was only two (2) days late when this was done. If you guys check my history, I have always made my payments current (after being discharged), and have made many purchases throughout the years with Rent-A-Center . This will be my last time I make any more purchases with Rent-A-Center. This problem needs to be addressed. I called another Rent-A-Center store (on the westbank in Marrero) and asked if there was a way to make my payments online/ set up automatic payments. The lady who answered the phone told me that rent a center does have something called e-pay, she was so helpful, and very professional. I am going to set up direct pay/ e-pay from now on...... I will never rent from Rent-A-Center again because of the RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, CONDESCENDING employees you have at 4800 Chef Menteur Hwy. in New Orleans.

Complaint from the only RAC store in Hagerstown, MD. My account is only a few days away from being paid in full and we receive a harassing call stating that they want to come pick up the furniture because we are 10 days late. This was less than horrible customer service - there was not a question (or offer) of a minimum amount we could possibly pay to get us to my pay date (11/27) and we have been with this store for over 18 months and they have always worked with us...why could they not have offered an EXTENSION this last time SINCE we are about to pay our account off???

The manager there her name is ASHLEY and her whole team is extremely RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE minded.
I will also file a formal complaint with the headquarters office as promised because we have been excellent, excellent customers. I will NEVER refer anyone to RENT A CENTER in any part of this United States. I have never experience such horrible service - it is very disappointing that I have poured so much hard earned money into a store with absolutely the most unprofessional management I have ever experienced.

Went into rent a center friday to make a payment on my bed my husband and i looked at a fireplace they had we made the down payment on it said it would be 5 pm the next day for delivery.5 pm the next day comes they not there i called about 5:30 to check my delivery the manager didnt put me down for delivery he was to busy with his friends in the store friday to write my time down sherry told me when i called that byran the manager promises that he will deliver it his self when they closed i asked her what time they close she told me 6 pm ..well 6:30 comes around still no show and no phone call from them so i called back he was talking about waiting til monday for my fireplace we told him no we would not wait til monday cause we been sitting here all this time waiting on our delivery now he saying monday. So went went and get a refund on it no apologies about it or anything they always saying same day delivery what a lie that is.

They are the most rude deplorable people I have ever dealt with. I am behind a few weeks and they are calling me ten times per day, beat on my door and threaten me. I have all messages taped. If they come to my home again I will be calling the police and sue the hell out of you

I am tired of the harassment, the threats and the stalking. I do not see where that it is all right to follow me around in a store and come up to me & start threating me, the worker was not in uniform she was in her street clothes and with her child ( unprofessional) the manager at the store let her do it and letting her stalk me.
Even when I talk to them they still call people they do not communicate or even look in the computer. I am tired of this !!!!!
Tell them not to come around and consider everything paid off.

There were bed bugs in my furniture. I’m very upset. I never experienced anything like this. I ordered furniture that came from fairness hills store n delivered my the north olden ave store I am very mad I have to still pay for furniture that wasn’t my fault at all. I should not be responsible. I have to clean n exterminate my whole house I will never get anything from rent a center ever again I am very I unsatisfied this is terrible service... I need to file a claim

We got a check for $559.00 towards our items and it said we could use towards our monthly rent got a little behind and our store won't let us use it they want to take our stuff I want it fixed now

I was just told by an attorney that the Liability Waiver Protection I have been paying for on my agreements for years is NOT mandatory. I was told that it is optional. I had questioned it when I saw it on my online account. This was NEVER on a receipt that I received through the store. I have paid this "optional and completely bogus extra charge" for years. I was misled and this practice is shady. Is this an issue that the Attorneys ey General's office should be aware of??!! I NEVER ever even used this feaudulant insurance and I want compensation!!

I have had several issues with my current lease contract at the Gloucester, VA store with the employees there. I have several accounts with this store throughout the past 5-6 years even before it became rent a center. But the employees there now are very rude aggressive and almost harrassing intentionaly to the point I feel I'm being harrassed. I know other people that have accounts with RAC and they have never had these people call them several times a day each and every day to include the day the payment is due. This is the second time with my current rental aggreement that I have been late on making my payment. The last time the employees called my work number every 1-2 hours on the day the payment was due????? I wasn't even late yet. That day i called the store and spoke with one of the workers and told them I would be late on the payment and the day I would be paying it online, he said OK all is fine. The next day my minor daughter called me from home while I was at work and told me that a man had left a tag on the door from RAC. I immediatley called the store and explianed to the worker that picked up that I had just spoken with someone there yesterday to make payment arrangement why were they at my house today??? the worker said the worker I spoke with yesterday did not leave a note on my account of this that is why they were there today. I said wow so if someone is not even 48hrs late you hunt them down and call them and go by their house to pick up the equipment wow!!! The worker stated that yes that is what they do and yelled at me on the phone and said when they can come by to pick up HIS merchandise. I was shocked!!!

My payment came due on Saturday 7/14/2018, I received several phone calls to my home phone number throughout the day on Saturday from RAC inquiring about the payment. Today, just now at 11:45am my daughter called me at work and stated that a man had knocked on the door but was gone, I told her to check the door to see if there was a package dropped off, she found the RAC door tag laying on the front steps and sent me a photo of it. As I had stated my payment was due on Saturday 7/14 today is Monday 7/16. Why in the hell do these people have to come to the house to put a door tag on the door knowing that my minor daughter is home and I am at work for a payment that isnt even 48hrs late, this is a little extreme to me. As I stated I have had several accounts all in good standing with this store and yes have been late a few times but never never have I ever been treated the way your current employees treat me. If my daughter did not need this computer for her home schooling I would turn this equipment back in and never ever rent from this store again. This is ridiculous. Please do something about this. Your manager Brandon is rude obnoxious and a smart alec he does not need to be in the manager's position he acts like a spoiled child and he arrest is the customer he said that if he was not going to let me use my coupon I got because it would give him a headache so I'm riding and trying to call to get you guys to look at it and please help me to get it and be able to use it because I need the washer and dryer I have in stage kidney failure and I'm terminal so could you please get in touch with help me to explain to him again

They are planning to take my frig, they already took my tv which was almost paid off. They called 3 or more times a day. And they never had me sign any agreement on both things so how can they do what they did.

We recently moved to the Bithlo area in Orlando, FL. I was in desperate need of a washer and dryer. So my husband and I decided to go to RAC. We ha e been customers off and on for years. The store located near 32820 has been the worst experience. It took them 2 hours to get us verified and signed up ive never waited longer than a half hour. Also our washer was not working correctly so they scheduled to come pick it up and give us a replacement and they did not show up at the time the set up and did not call until an hour after the time they gave us. When my washer was ready they set an appointment with me last thursday between 4 and 6 to bring me my washer and they knew to contact my husband because i told them i was at work. They never called him and they never showed up. But they sure did call me 2 days later wanting payment in which my husband explai ed the loaner washer was scratched and stained and we would make the payment once they delivered our washer and they were to call him monday at 10am. They called after 11am and tried to charge us a late fee after they agreed with my husband there would not be a late fee due to they did not hold up their end and they ha e not stuck to an appointment ever! I called them and told them to pick up the unit i am not paying for this terrible service i am reporting this to the BBB and i will take further action. I request some form of a refund

Your location at 346 Fulton Ave, Hempstead, NY 11550, has proven to be thieves. I have been making payments on a contract my hub and took an two ago I was told my balance was about $260.64, after making a payment. So today I made a payment of $102.00 (to round off the payment) which should have left a balance a little over $101. To my surprise I was told that new balance is a little over $237.00. So it appears that your staff has been trained to cheat senior citizens. I want an immediate investigation before I make another payment.

I pay my bill every week. I might be a little late and Rent-A-Center customer service calls me 20 times from different numbers. They even called my friends and family for 40 dollars. Very disrespectful and nasty attitudes from all of them employees. I will never rent from Rent-A-Center again let alone refer this company.

I have just one complaint; i know i have not been with rent a center very long but; sometimes its very very amazing that they call you like they hunting dogs; that being said is that yep sometimes i am late more than; i should but; i also know that is their job as well; but; there are a lot ; i mean a lot of people out there that has moved ; took their merchandise with them and they never find them and they don't pay y'all at all; some of the people well a lot of them live in the complex where i live ; i have done inside and outside collections as well being a credit manager for over 10 yrs with Finger Furniture when they were house off the Gulf Frwy but; yep.

I am 63 yrs old on a fixed income but; i do manage to come up with the payments even when i am hounded or threatened that they will come and pickup my washer and dryer until i can bring the account current; really wow; don't tell me a lot of your employees are not dogging lawsuits being sued by creditors having their vehicles repoed and getting collection calls themselves but it is always the little people that have to suffer; y'all need to look at your strategies again before you start hounded good people because believe me i am not one of those; i have worked all my life here in Texas and after i got sick the doctor said i could not work anymore a lot of health problems ; so what if your mom got her washer and dryer took from her ; yep that is what i said then don't tell me you won't be pissed; yes you would i know i would but; the scared tactics that you use on people is absurd.

I like the manager at the store where i have my account but not the way the collection part is done and then you want to ask me the reason why i can't pay today really like i said shit happens excused my lanaguage ; i need a television bad scared to ask because of my payments being behind ; so what do i do see its like this your employees have to work to pay their bills thats understanderable but; they also push good customers that they think are a bad risk over the edge; ain't gonna have a heart attack behind scare tactics at all so tell me you gonna come and pick up my washer and dryer for me being behind for 3 or 4 days really and then when i get the money you bring it back that not defeating the purpose of keeping what you think of a bad customer is good ; y'all need to start finding the ones out there that ran off with your merchandise that is still here in Harris County and hiding but.

Got moved by my company in December- the couches I had were a little too big for the apt.; the rep was nice and offered my husband a small sectional with a chaise that had been returned for $600- so they were on clearance. I told him I wasn't sure and we had couches they were just too big. He told me he would be happy to pick them up and sell them for me. I thought, too good to be true, right? He comes, delivers my smaller sectional and takes my couches and tells me he will just give me a credit for whatever he sells them for. So sure enough a few weeks later I go in to make a payment and there are my couches with a $600 price tag on them and all clean! I laugh when he attempts to sell them to me and remind him they are mine. I even took a picture for my husband as a joke.

Fine and a month or so later I go in again to make another payment and the couches are gone. I inquire to the sleepy looking female behind the counter as to what the credit on my account is for my couches and she has no idea what I am talking about. I am told I need to talk to her manager in the morning. I work out of town so I know I won't be able to see her in the am but I don't sweat it until my family starts receiving harassing phone calls and so in March I go to just pay off my account and again they have no idea about any credit and I need to talk to the manager. I tell them I am leaving for my wedding and will be gone for about 10 days. Well I get back from my wedding and honeymoon- a 17 hour drive and at 10:30pm there is a knock on my door. I open it and there is RentACenter in a van asking for my couch. I told the manager that I had gone there right before I left and wanted to check on my credit before I paid my account off. She tells me my account is 26 days delinquent and she has no idea what I am talking about.

I tell her- fine then I want my couches back and she gets this look on her face like a light bulb went on. She tells me that yes, she remembers my couches but she's not sure what happened to them. She said that the guy who was making deals like that no longer works there and she was sorry and she would let me pay off my couches at the original agreed price of $600 plus tax- so I give her the $200 right them and she hands me a hand written receipt and says I can go down there tomorrow for a balance statement.

I said okay. I go down there the next day and she hands me a receipt and a balance statement and it says I still owe $246.00! Wtf? She says that the employee who took my payment was making payments for the couches like I was renting them rather than giving me outright credit for them so half of the money I paid has been to rent and half has been to pay for them? I would like my couches back- they were better quality and worth way more than the couch I currently have.

Since Blake left the Hannibal, Mo. store and Mark took over, its been bad. I have been with RAC since 1993 but when I finish this time I am done! I was told in Jan. my contract would be paid off on April 9th, Mark is saying May 9th now. I have not missed any payment since I was told that. Mark and I had a few ugly words about one new employee, how rude and disrespectful he was to me while Mark was on vacation.

Mark told me his employees were not going anywhere after my complaints. I said you would rather lose your customer and he said, I'm not getting rid of my employee so take it from there. I have dealt with Aarons and if I need to purchase anything again it will be with them as long as Mark is at the Hannibal store. Thank you for your time and I loved Rent-A-Center customer service at one time.

If there was a choice of no star, it would describe Rent-A-Center poor service. First and foremost the manager Tina at the spring valley ny branch,was trying to trick me into signing for the insurance. It didn't work because I read before signing the paperwork; declined and signed. I made a payment of 70 dollars and was due to pay in two weeks. When the time came to pay I went online and realized that they were charging me for the insurance. I called them right away and informed them of the mistake. They said that they would fix it. I made a payment of 64dollars then.

Two weeks later when it was time to pay same issue opposed. I called and Tina reassured me that I was not billed. I told her that I was very disappointed of their dishonest service. She told me to come in and that they would fix it all. I went with my receipt. Once I got there i asked her for my old receipt. When she printed the receipt there were discrepancies. My receipt at Rent-A-Center showed a higher amount. We exchanged words I told her that they were dishonest. She got upset called Nicole. She got worked up and started pointing her finger at me; very unprofessional. I told her to not do that she proceeded to.

Once Tina told her to stop that's when she went in the back. After the commotion Tina stated that she was giving me a credit of 17 dollars and that i can pay 33 dollars for the 2 week payment. It wasn't until i got home that i realized that there was no credit she charged me for 1 week. That's the only reason why the amount was low. There was no discount.

I really believe that the Rent-A-Center store in liberty mo 816- 781-1008 is trying to make me make extra payments. I pay 85 bi-weekly on a cell phone and they have called and said my payments is 2 weeks behind. They are good about deactivating your phone to am sick of the harassment when i know i may owe 1 payment but not 2. I have had this phone well over 2 years don't know why its not paid off. Think I need to speak to a attorney because I am getting screwed by Rent-A-Center customer service.
